What is the difference between Typing Buddy and Auto correct options in Microsoft office?

I haven’t tried this and don’t plan to, but this type of program should work everywhere in the system, not just in MS Office. However, there are many free apps available that provide similar capability and are updated frequently. There are many free apps that provide much broader functions, and include this as just one of their features. My favorite in this area is Quick Access Popup (installed, not portable), which does lots of things that make it indispensable once you start to use it.

Typing Buddy was established without problems. When you start it immediately closes with an error. Reinstallation did not help.

I’m with @Normal on QAP: I just started using it and love it.
Also, the support (Jean) is excellent.
I may have to break down and contribute!

So far so good. It was not immediately obvious to me how the trigger keys worked, but once I figured that out, it worked really well. A keeper, and I’m quite pleased with it so far.

[@Juriy (Russia)] It works everywhere I’ve tried it. You need to spend more time with it.

I am not sure why upon installing this software from this site, my laptop suddenly ran so slow. I then scanned with MalwareByte and it found a malware called “Trojan.FakeGoogle.BatBitRst”?

The programme was kind of a feature in MS Word: you assign your long sentences/words with your own abbreviations, then you just need to type those abbr. and it appears the full corresponding sentences7words. Not interesting!

I had Typing Buddy installed during the Giveaway on Oct. 11, 2018. It was working fine until one day that McAfee deleted the program because it was detected as a Trojan (Artemis!ECFFFC8C5E23). Has anybody reported the same issue? Please help. I am running it in Windows 10 64-bit.

Same here … both MS Windows Defender and Avast Free Antivirus flag this with “Win32:Malware-gen” … best to delete it.

I had this .exe setup on my PC since 12Oct, but today I got Symantec to react with it:
    Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan
    Event: Security Risk Found!
    Security risk detected: Trojan.Gen.2

Didn’t installed nor used yet (I got similar programs already).

Better have to send this kind of info to the editor/author. It may be a “false positive”.
