Modam Player [for PC]

With Modam Player, you can easily play your local videos to your Chromecast or some Smart TVs.

The interface is very lightweight and straightforward to stream your videos really easily.
For the Chromecast, the software prefers video codec H.264 and audio codec AAC, but it will try to transcode it if it is a different video format.

You can drag-drop your media files directly in the application, and it will automatically loop them.

Chromecast/Smart TVs:

Your device should be on the same network as your computer. Modam Player will automatically detect devices on your network, and it will show it in the connected devices drop-down. Select the device, and start playing your media files!

Smart TVs:

This application will show DLNA devices on your network. Modam Player will create a DLNA server on your computer that can communicate with your Smart TV. Tested with some recent Samsung and Sony models. The transcoding of media files was disabled for Smart TVs, but it should be enabled in a near future. Be aware that it’s hard to be compatible for all Smart TVs, but we work hard to test as much as models as we can.
