If disk is encrypted, does that prevent ransom-ware attacks?
It sounds like this Haselo software is a front-end tool to enable and manage bit-locker encryption. Once everything is set up, does Windows 10/64 Home take over, or does Bitlocker Anywhere need to run all the time?
What is the danger, after 1 year “trial” ends, in having an encrypted drive that Windows can still access? Will backup software, and MS One-Drive, and disk partitioning software, and third-party file managers (i.e., Free Commander XE) still work?
If I re-install Windows, will it still know to how to access my data? Re-install seems to be Microsoft’s standard response to any problems, so it’s inevitable with Windows 10.
