Download link just opens the web page with new download link which once again opens the same page. So download link does not work.

FYI, you can download the portable version from their site and this license works for it. Like the reviews state, this shows you what drivers have updates available and links you to the driver sites. It works fine as long as you understand what you are getting. It does not handle the actual updating, just gives you the information to do it yourself.

If we did that, would the portable one still then function as the Pro version ?
And what if you wanted to enable the portable version only
: in order to do that we’d still need the license key first, which will be embedded in the installer version. I have not sampled their program in a few years, was not too enamored of an earlier edition, and would prefer to go portable this time.This page started with Ant Download Manager PRO and somehow switched to SUMO. Making the assumption that this is for Ant Download Manager PRO, I will add a comment. I have tried Ant Download Manager PRO in the past. I have mixed feelings on it. While it worked, I found it confusing at times and a bit over bearing. It wanted to pop up for each and every download. I prefer it to come up only when I request it. Also with no updates available, I found that it stopped working for me after a few updates. I do appreciate the offer but I will pass.

Yes, the latter was very much the same issue I had with it. I want a program like this to come when it is summoned, but not to intrude otherwise. Automatic interception of every possible download is not acceptable. Back when I last tried Ant DL, a company rep said that this was able to be controlled via program settings — which to a varying extent seemed to be the case. Peter Blaise also reports that improvements to this program behavior have been made, which inclines me to give it another try.
I was thinking that i downloaded the setup file
and can i install it after the promo has ended?
what i mean is that can i install it and use ant manager pro

What they are offering you now is nonsense. . .Thanks. Downloaded and installed fine. I had a much older version from a giveway from here and no issues, stayed pro so I expect this will to. It shows pro on the interface and shows Pro promoversion for sharewareonsale. Perhaps it is missing some features, I don’t know if thats the case but its been great for me.
I have no clue what jboy is referring to above: I installed this offer and so far it looks promising, but this promo edition states clearly that there is no registration (unless there turns out to be one buried somewhere in the Windows Registry, which I suppose is quite possible), and therefore no license key which could be applied to the portable version. Even if it was allowed, there would not be much point in having the installed version side-by-side on the same computer along with the portable one. The main point of portable apps is that you are able to take them with you and run them from a flashdrive.
