i wen to install and windows defender advised not to run setup as it may damage my pc.is this loaded with a virus

I don’t understand why some programmers don’t give users the choice of where to install their soft. How do they know if one has sufficient room on the disk they impose us. Or whether one wish to keep disk C: or the user folder as small as possible for personal reasons ? In this case, no choice, disk C: and in a subfolder of the user folder.Same problem as Mick et al.
Tried to use provided license key in Softorbits Photo Retoucher install. Got error message “The entered license key is invalid. Please enter a valid license key.”
Pressing “Get free activation key” button sends me to the full price buy screen.
