Sometimes I will go to the original genuine site for the product, and download it and install it just to see what the original install does, incase the on sale one fails and the original one doesn’t…in this case, the original one came up with two errors and even though “installed” there’s no entry in the start menu or desktop for the product! LOL. Free or $77, I would not use it…

I don’t need yet another online account just to trial a program that makes dubious claims about the magic it claims to do…
Another developer that wants to either circumvent parental or administrator restrictions on the users ability to install programs by defaulting to install their program into the unprotected users %APPDATA% hierarchy:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Kingshiper\KSFileCompressor
Does not bode well for the developers desire to follow BEST practise programming and marketing claims rules.
At least we can change that to a safer location and a different drive letter.
Chose maximum compression… 100% “aspect ratio” which really is the scale control NOT aspect ratio, which defaults to 50% which is a cheat and a con as it reduces GIF dimensions by 50% which is a massive default quality loss to spoof compression.
Processing a 28.8MByte animated GIF resulted in a 28.7MByte compressed animated GIF… not sure how it tried to compress it but it certainly was not very successful in my view.[@TK] video recompression is also LOSSY, the without quality loss claims are complete lies it abuses GPL FFMPEG libraries to do the grunt media compression so of course it will have quality loss on video and audio etc. the developer is relying upon their geographical location and the difficulty in regulating rogue Chinese developers by foreign nation states or nationals. Uninstalling without creating an account with the dodgy company.
