FYI–I have PhotoZoom8. I asked Copilot to compare to this and got a useful and very thorough comparison including a table comparing each by a variety of criteria.
    In Summary:
PhotoZoom 8 = Best for natural, artifact‑free enlargements
ZOOM #1 = Best for AI detail recovery and aggressive sharpening
I have not checked for accuracy but Copilot cited the Franzis website as source for much of its info.

Impossible to use this poor program because the serial number I received is completely a different format than what this poor program requires to enter.
The serial number I received by email is shorter than what is really required to register properly.
It is a complete waste of my time and curse Franzis for complicating this activation so much, they can go to hell.

    @JohnUSA @ASHRAF

    You’re right . . . the number they send just doesn’t fit.

uuummmmm Copilot forgot to mention the PITA Franzis Registration.

Complete waste of time. Can’t download the file from several different computers with a 2GB FIOS connection.

The registration code that you get is 16 characters in the format: 1234567890123456

You will need to break it into groups of four for it to work: 1234 5678 9012 3456

    Go figure?

For some reason (long weekend, snow lol) this was a very long d/l. Ok 50% then dragged saying 2mins. 5-7 mins later still going or stop go. But install ok using this site d/l. Since I have many of the company’s prgs it appears auto registered. Show my email addy & the serial is a bunch of ### hash marks like it won’t show them, but says registered. yrmv

no new giveaway today, just yesterdays and earlier showing. I’d hate to be the human having to come up with the fawning tripe that describes each and every SOS offering, it would make me sick and force me to go against my conscience it has to be AI generated as no normal person could come up with such garbage consistently and remain sane.

I can not get the registration process to work, a rarity for me. I never see the form to fill out. I did get the email asking me to confirm my email, I did, and never got anything else from Franzis. When I clicked the link in that confirmation email, it took me to a login page. After logging in I saw a page listing all the other programs I’ve gotten from them, but Zoom 1 is not listed. I see no point in installing the program from the download since I can’t get a license key or any other indication from them that I have a license. Unsubscribing from their emails next, I refuse to waste any more time with them.

Downloaded the program, went thru the ridiculous registration process already described, ran a test on a low resolution image. The result was possibly worse than the original image. Tried the same image with a previous SOS offering, VideoProc Converter AI, got a very nice result.

Uninstalled Zoom #1. Would not recommend.

FWIW: My experience (thanks to those above that suggested actions such as the following)
After receiving the registration email from Franzis
    1. Use your Email as the “company”
    2. Chop the long serial into 4 digit groups and paste in the 4 boxes.

I am now registered as a full user per the message from Franzis. Now I have to try it and see how it works. SOS usually has software vendors with more straightforward (less PITA) registration methods

Oh, my take on the question: Is @ASHRAF using AI? Not very effectively but then . . . He’ll probably get better at proofing what it belches out. :>)
