Hello All,
I am the creator and a developer of Imagisizer.
A few people have contacted us through the primary contact form on imagisizer’s website and I just saw this discussion/forum now. So I am responding to all that visit and have an issue contacting the license server.
If you are having issues with activating imagisizer and get the error that it could not contact the license server. Please read below.
We have checked our licensing server numerous times throughout the day and it is running smoothly.
I am thinking that it may be an issue with any of the following blocking our application from contacting the licensing server:
Windows Firewall
Antivirus/Internet Security(software firewall)
Windows Defender
UAC
DEP

Here are some things you can check or disable temporarily until imagisizer gets licensed properly on your computer. When trying the below suggestions, please try one suggestion at a time, then try activating imagisizer after each. If that suggestion does not work then it is probably best to re-enable it afterwards. These are common troubleshooting suggestions for the windows environment and we suggest you perform a backup and do a restore point before trying 2-7 just as a precaution as we take our support seriously and always do our best to try and help out our users. If you don’t feel comfortable with trying/changing the suggestions below. Maybe try reaching out to friend or family member that is more familiar with computers for help with these suggestions.

1. Try opening a command prompt and type in (without quotes) “ping licensing.imagisizer.com” you should see no packet loss, and a ping time next to it.
If you see destination unreachable or something similar to that. You may need to try the below suggestions.

2 Allow imagisizer outbound and inbound traffic in windows firewall.
a. Instructions: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/uncategorized/how-to-create-exceptions-in-windows-vista-firewall/

3. Check to make sure your Internet Security (eg: Norton Internet Security, McAfee Firewall, AVG Internet Security, etc) is allowing imagisizer to access the internet.
a. Each piece of software is different so we cannot suggest a particular set of instructions for this.

4. Try adding an exclusion to Windows Defender.
a. Instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028485/windows-10-add-an-exclusion-to-windows-defender-antivirus

5. Try adding an exclusion to your antivirus software.
a. Each piece of software is different so we cannot suggest a particular set of instructions for this.

6. Temporarily disable UAC (Suggestion for security reasons don’t leave this permanently off)
a. Instructions: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/

7. Turn off or add exception for DEP (Data Execution Protection)
a. Instructions: https://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-xp/disable-turn-off-dep-windows/

Please let us know if one of these worked for your issue.
Thanks
