[@Jeff] We do not store your files. We only record the hashes and compare it against our database of threats. There is room for exploitation of the data because they weren’t uploaded at all without your express permission to do so (which only happens when the file is unknown and an upload can be done by the user).
[@Mark] VirusTotal has more engines but you’d have to upload manually. SecureAPlus does this in real-time as potential threats enter our system.
[@Bob] Just to clarify, we do not upload your files to the cloud. Just the hashes and we do not upload document type files (including .txt) for privacy reasons. Of course if a threat is unknown we may need the actual file to be uploaded, but, this requires your express permission. You can always decline this.
[@DZIKu] Please get in touch with the support team with the email secureaplus[at]secureage.com for help with activation. Do try to make sure though that when you are pasting the activation code, it didn’t accidentally include any spaces at the front or at the end.
