Free updates for 24 months? I think Sharewareonsale.com is apologizing for all those listings that didn’t offer any free updates. Well, Sharewareonsale.com, apology accepted!

Was ist das für ein Antivirus, wenn man offline aufgeschmissen ist? Ich habe kein gutes Gefühl meine vertrauenswürdige Dateien in eine Cloud hochzuladen. Diese AV-Lösung ist nicht für mich.

How is this different than just uploading your potentially suspicious file to VirusTotal or something similar?

[@Mark] In that way is the same. Had this installed before and found it a bit naggy blocking lots of things and making you give permission to go. The good part of it is that it uses 12 virus engines (from almost all the biggest AV publishers), having said that the only time I got an infeccion was with it running… Using BitDefender now which is much less resource consumer (today’s giveaway may go up to 1GB of RAM use, usually 600/700 MB of RAM used all the time).
My opinion, compare what you have with what this offer offers and decide accordingly

    “24/7 Scanning
Files checked against evolving virus database even when your computer is off.”

Red flags anyone? Are they freely caching your data on their cloud servers for your protection or exploitation? You decide.

I switched from Avast to Bitdefender several months ago and Bitdefender would not install while SecureAPlus was installed. I was sad to see SecureAPlus go. The Bitdefender people said I should be able to reinstall after Bitdefender is up and running, so with this SOS offer I’m looking forward to trying this. I have a short review on the main page. I like the way SecureAPlus works. Gave me good piece of mind. Yeah, lots of false positives and a long initial scan, but then you always know if anything new tries to run. The whitelist approach is a great compliment to other AV programs. When Clam AV started flagging every program in a Windows update, I disabled it. Much nicer without it!

Not all roses, I totally agree with the review by “David”. Any program like this needs to have a way to pause or disable it, conveniently. I don’t remember ever seeing my PC slow down but I would sure hate to have a recording session ruined because a program decided to call home and update itself, or tie up my hard drive with a scan. As for the comment by “konde67”, I don’t know how much memory SecureAPlus uses (haven’t tried installing yet) but Bitdefender on my system takes about 360MB. I have 16 GB, but if I only had 4 or 8 GB then another 600 MB for SecureAPlus would be bad!

[@АЛЕКСАНДР] That is a very fair assessment of the software.
I tried this software in the past, and honestly I can’t remember why I stopped using it.
It does use the “Everything” feature, which I don’t like although I get that it is supposed to make files easier to access, I don’t like the idea of anything tricking my system to try and make it faster.

I think I will rewind/restore from image backup where I didn’t have this software on it for the simple fact that I don’t trust the CLOUD antivirus idea. Why? Because they have complete access to ALL YOUR FILES AND FILES ARE INFORMATION. Think about that one and feel safe trusting them.
I’m sure it’s a fine idea, but the concept of THE CLOUD is a recipe for disaster IMO.

Hello. I have a problem with activating this program, when it activates with the code displayed on the page, it pops up to me that I have the wrong code :(

[@Mr.Dave] Just a quick update: I had to uninstall SecureAPlus months ago when I switched to Bitdefender, it won’t install if SecureAPlus is installed. OK, so last night I was happy to see SecureAPlus offered again, so I could see if maybe Bitdefender will allow me to install it. Tonight I’m much happier. I installed SecureAPlus last night with no problems from Bitdefender. SecureAPlus started up its initial scan, I went to bed. I get home tonight and scan says system is clean. It also looks like SecureAPlus found its data files from before, so I don’t need to disable Clam AV again (already disabled) and it already has the whitelist of all my programs from back then. Very nice. I only need to teach about things added since last January. Like having an old friend move to your town, you’re not starting from the beginning. Thanks SecureAPlus and SOS (Ashraf!)
