MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE WITH MULTIPLE ANTI VIRUS PROTECTION FROM THE CLOUD
SecureAPlus is the antivirus software that uses 12 Antiviruses at a time to automatically scan your computer for the best malware and virus protection. It has higher detection rates without slowing your computer down with regular online scans by using cloud antivirus engines to provide the most accurate diagnosis when a threat is detected.
This effectively gives you a second opinion using 12 different antivirus engines without the extra hassle on you and your PC. It’s about time security did all its heavy lifting in the cloud.
Absolute Defense with Intelligent Application Control & Whitelisting
Get an additional layer of defense by using a block-first approach. This means getting the choice to run or block every time an untrusted application launches for the first time, effectively increasing protection even against zero-day threats.
A threat assessment is intuitively given by up to 12 of the best antivirus engines available to enable users to confidently exert total application control.
SecureAPlus also smartly does application whitelisting upon install and automatically updates and maintains the list of trusted applications when you run, block, quarantine, or delete files that launch.
An Essential Companion to Your Favorite Anti Malware, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, and More
SecureAPlus works and plays well with others by keeping its antivirus engines in the cloud. Not only does this make it inherently fast even on older machines but also lets it work alongside other antimalware and antivirus software, or even other security apps like firewalls and sandboxing.

Reviews for SecureAPlus Essentials
A good whitelist anti-virus program. Does not slow down PC. It takes a little adjustment, like any other new software, but is quick to learn my system.
It’s not bad at doing what it says. However, I have some concerns:
1. They have been caught taking without asking (some might call this “stealing”) malware definitions from Malwarebytes. This probably means they are taking definitions form other companies as well, without permission or compensation.
2. This uses the Clam virus scanner. Clam is fairly reliable and effective, given good malware definitions. However, it is slow and resource intensive. Especially on an older PC, it will reduce performance of other applications while scanning.
3. As others have said, this tool is aggressive and hard to control, which is a bad combination. This can cause problems at times, as it will do what it wants when it wants, and you must put up with that to some extent. Get ready to retrieve that unsigned executable file from the scanner’s quarantine section (you did opt to use quarantine rather than outright deletion, right?) and add an exception for it to both the realtime guard and the scanner (which is two seperate operations).
4. As I recall, this also uploads files to VirusTotal for further analysis. VirusTotal is a good (free) service, but there is a catch–by uploading files to their service, you agree to have them released to the public for security analysis. Since you don’t even know what SecureAPlus is uploading, you could be leading all sorts of private information without knowing it. Also, VirusTotal is owned by Google, and Google’s business is founded in the collection and (ab?)use of massive amounts of personal data. This should give some cause for concern itself. Thankfully, the last version of this product I used offered an option to disable “cloud” scanning, which I believe stops such uploads.

Sorry for the typos…I was in a hurry.

I started out liking this program, but have begun to hate it. It offers good security, but at the expense of everything else. There is no way to control it, since it assumed the dumb user cannot be trusted to update malware definitions and run regular scans. It forces update and worst of all, scans, when IT want to, and doesn’t care about computer activity. Your computer may be doing stock trading, game playing, video editing, or idling and in any case, Secure A+ starts a scan, which on older computers prevents anything else from being done at any reasonable speed until complete. There is no idle detection, user delay or pause option, or even exit option.
When this thing fires up a scan at a terrible time, all you can do is kill the clamAV scanner process. For everything else, the processes are protected. A geek with his toolbox can usually find a way to freeze, overload, or otherwise crash a process, but this should not be needed. When you urgently need your PC to so something, this must not interfere. If it does, there MUST at the VERY LEAST permit the user to pause the action or end it for this cycle altogether.
Ideally, this program would actually let the user schedule or turn off automatic updates and scans. However, the publishers assume that their users are complete fools and cannot be trusted to manage such a complected task as picking when to run.
This could be good, but right now, just know that while installed, this program OWNS your computer, and you can do little about it unless you break out some fancy software and stare injecting code in their processes to break them.

Apologies for these and other typos–you can tell I’m not very happy with this.
The ClamAV scanning can be turned off or not installed. I don’t use it, far too many false positives. I like SecureAPlus, it provides a good second layer of protection after my main AV (Bitdefender, but I’m leaving them – they auto-renewed my subscription 155 days before it would expire, and the very next day sent me a special offer to renew at a much lower rate, then ignore my request to look into it!)
Security and privacy have become one of the major concern in today’s world. The advanced malware and malicious application are now hard to detect and remove, making it difficult to protect our machines and secure our information from their reach. If there is no security solution available, the malware may steal your sensitive data or it may crash your computer. That is why all the users need to have atleast one antivirus or antimalware applications on their PC.
SecureAPlus Premium is a cloud-based antivirus application, which uses the power of 12 antivirus engines together to scan and detect any malicious applications or malware on your PC. It comes with an offline antivirus program too, so you are protected even when your PC is not connected to the internet.
Installation & Set-up
The installer size is ~152MB and the installation process is simple and straightforward, taking no time at all to complete. During the installation process you can choose whether to install offline antivirus or not. After launching it for the first time, you can easily activate the Premium version by entering the license code, or you can use the Free version. All the services and features are active and running when using it for the first time, but users can tweak with the settings to suit their needs. A full scan is initiated automatically, this might take longer than usual (a couple of hours) depending on your system, it’s condition, and the internet connection.
User Interface
The UI of the applications is intuitive, clean, and has a modern design with the use of pleasing colors and icons. The UI has been divided into three parts accessible from the buttons at the bottom. There are six buttons present of which three are to access the different section of the UI, and the other three are links that open up in default browser. In the first section named ‘Home’, at the top right are three buttons for three different modes of the antivirus. These are, namely Interactive, Lockdown, and Trust All. Under it is the area where you have buttons to view UAV stats, quarantine history, and initiate a scan. The window on the left shows, current PC status, last scan info, and whether the application is up-to-date or not. The other two sections are ‘App Settings’ with all the settings and tweak, and ‘Info & Licenses’ section with details about license and other related stuff.
Pros
– Intuitive and User friendly UI
– Three modes: Interactive, Lockdown, and Trust All.
– Uses 12 well-known av engines in the cloud as well as VirusTotal’s database to find and remove malware.
– Any untrusted applications or processes attempting to run on your computer are blocked, you can add applications of your choice to the whietlist.
– Offline antivirus so your PC is protected whether you are connected to the internet or not.
– CPU and RAM usage are minimal
– Ability to set a daily upload limit, alongwith ability to enable and disable any antivirus engine.
Cons
– Initial scan takes a long time to complete.
– Three of the buttons at the bottom are links to the developers support, store, and another site.
Conclusion
SecureAPlus Premium is a reliable and powerful cloud-based antivirus solution, that comes with a strong and useful offline antivirus engine too. It combines the power of 12 top-notch and trusted antivirus engines to ensure that your PC is malware free and no malicious applications are running on your system. Real-time scanning provides peace of mind, as the application automatically handles any new installed application or any unknown process that is executed. The application runs smoothly without any lag or crashes, and uses minimal amount of system resources.
A good backup for the primary anti-virus software. The initial scan takes a long time (4 hours on my computer), but it’s once-and-done. I have used this on many computer over the last few years, and had no problems.

It is not compatible with Bitdefender and will cause the best (arguably) Anti-Virus to crash.
SecureAPlus Premium V4.6. from SecureAge Technology – Headquarters in Singapore.
Note: This is an independent review. I am not and will not become part of their “Ambassador Program”, which is a means for them to promote the software via users. User can earn money by promoting SecureAPlus. I have no problems with that, but prefer to remain totally independent.
License duration: 18 Months
The scanning engines currently used are:
AVG, Ahnlab, Avira, BitDefender, ClamWin, ESET, Emsisoft, McAfee, Microsoft Security Essentials, QuickHeal, Sophos, & TotalDefense.
Initial Scan of a budget priced 5 year old laptop, (1.4MHz, 2 core, 4 Gb ram) with 51 background processes enabled, and running Windows 8.0. On a more capable PC it would have little impact but in this case it made using the PC impractical therefore I left it to do its thing.
Initial Scan took about 3 hrs 10. Threats detected = 22. None of the threats were detected more than one engine. The majority were related to TorBrowser. If you look at history it reveals which engine detected the threat. I ignored all but 1 threat which was Adwcleaner version 6.010 (an old version). I scanned that with Avira and Malwarebytes and uploaded it to VirusTotal. All reported no threat.
I concluded they were all false detections. I deleted Adwcleaner to the recycle bin via Windows explorers context menu and was alerted by ClamWin that a new threat had been found. Apparently ClamWin was installed on the PC as the “offline” scanner. This could conflict with already installed AV and Anti-Malware software. I feel it’s unwise that an offline scanner is automatically installed. Thankfully it can be disabled in the scan settings options. Apparently their “small SecureAPlus installer” has the option of not installing the offline scanner prior to installation of SecureAPlus.
I went to Malwarebytes website and downloaded the current version of AdwCleaner (6.046) and scanned it with VirusTotal. One engine (Rising) found a threat. 59 other engines including ClamAV found nothing. Scanning with SecureAPlus via the context menu found nothing. Scan took 1 min 51 sec.
Pros
– Multiple engines (currently 12) scan time with minimal impact after initial scan
– Choice of which AV engines are active. Very nice feature.
– Easy to use and excellent FAQ’s etc., on their website.
– Application Whitelisting catches new malware not detected by existing antivirus.
Cons
– GUI unable to be made full screen. An annoyance but not a deal breaker.
Conclusion
It appears to run smoothly with minimal user effort required to operate. Having 12 engines and “Application Whitelisting” gives a user a bit more confidence that their system is protected from Malware and Viral threats.
I rated it 4 Stars. It lost a Star due to not being able to expand the GUI to full screen.

. I had used this about three years ago and found it to be of little help and it caused system problems and seeing it for free i decided i would give it another try,but thought it best to check out some independent test result first. I included the test result from one of the most through test. after reading them decided to pass on this software.

the automatic update now has a switch off feature in App settings/others/updates
I’ve been using this program for many months now. I like the way it works. It whitelists the programs I approve or that it knows from its database are safe, and then warns me whenever it detects anything new. So far lots of “false positives”, and it it depends on me to decide if something is good or bad. It offers two different scanning services if I need help deciding, and doesn’t prevent me from sending a questionable file to VirusTotal or scanning with Malwarebytes. Seems to be low impact on my PC. It’s not a complete solution for protecting a PC, but adds a good layer of prevention. I like it!
With hundreds of malware and viruses being developed by the day, SecureAPlus was developed with the aim of whitelisting software applications. The program prevents unauthorized applications from running and warns you of existing malware on your PC. It doesn’t just work on applications on your PC, but also detects programs that want to launch from external devices.
Installation was easy, with the only choice being whether or not to install an offline antivirus. You’ll also set up the online client. If you have another antivirus running, don’t worry – SecureAPlus runs concurrently with most notable AV programs. The initial scan is automatically activated when the software is installed. I took some time to analyze SecureAPlus, and here are some of its advantages and disadvantages.
Pros
Beautiful and interactive user interface
The homepage is pretty amazing and indicates clearly the areas that need your attention. During the initial scan, it will indicate that your system is at risk since real time scan isn’t working despite being turned on. Don’t worry since this may be a false warning. Let it finish first before you can assess the list of programs that are not trusted.
Light and fast
In addition to the software being light, it does a comparison with the cloud-based anti-virus engines fast. It doesn’t require much RAM in the process.
Over 10 antivirus engines
SecureAPlus works by comparing programs with malware samples found in over 12 antivirus engines. These include ESET, BitDefender, AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, and ClamWin among others. You can turn off the engines you don’t want.
For an offline version, the software uses Clam antivirus to detect malware and viruses.
Provides a list of restricted applications
Actually, you can avoid downloading apps with malware by constantly checking the list of restricted applications straight from the settings page.
Easy whitelisting features
SecureAPlus still need user input, though very minor. It detects all applications that try to run on your device without your permission and all you need to do is to stop or allow. Simple, yet efficient.
Cons
UI doesn’t impress past homepage
With the homepage looking less cluttered, you’d expect the same in the other pages, but instead you’ll get a cluttered look that’s barely interesting. Even worse, you can’t change the appearance.
False positives
Expect dozens of false positives. Novice users will get torn between deleting and not deleting genuine applications that they use regularly when the software regards them as malware.
Initial Scan takes a very long time
Despite running it on a computer with very few application, the initial scan took over 3 hours. Although you can do other tasks while it’s running, it isn’t a feature that you can use anytime you like.
Conclusion
Despite the irritating false positives and the slow initial scan, SecureAPlus is a helpful software that you need to keep your computer protected. It provides a powerful whitelisting option and gives you control over what is installed on your PC.
