You have to laugh when certain westerners worry about “China” (oo-er!) spying on them, when their own government are doing the same thing. And which sounds more scary: being spied upon by some far-off country which has nothing to gain from spying upon you personally? Or being spied upon by your own government, which has deep and nefarious reasons and much to gain from spying on you?
