I haven’t installed the program because from the description I cannot realy make out if it is really a synchronisation app or rather a backup appllication. Synchronisation means folder comparison both-ways i.e. to copy or update on both sides what is newer or unique on one side and optionally delete or copy only unique files from a chosen side. I usually find freecommander adequate for this task when I want to update the pictures folder with its backup, then the backup folder on an external HDD may have files you want to copy to your laptop supposing you also have a desktop and you want to keep the 2 Computers in synchrony. I think there is a tendency now for cloud-based applications though for this sort of tasks.
