I was going to download it, but NOT with your downloader doing it.
I do not like unexpected software installs, especially as you said nothing about this, but tried to sneak it in? What else does it do?
Ashraf, I’ve known you since you started on GAOTD and remember your comments well. You should be ashamed for not putting in some sort of explanation of the downloader hub, why you are doing it and what else if anything does it do?

[@Charles B.] The Download Hub clearly asks you a) if you want to DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL (and you have to click ‘Yes’ otherwise nothing is installed) and b) at the final screen we clearly say CLICK FINISH TO START INSTALLING. Nothing is installed on your computer unless you explicitly say ‘Yes’ to it.

However, your point of a post about Download Hub is valid. I have already planned on it and am writing it.

Panda Antivirus detects your new installer as a virus & quarantines upon execution. The actual program installer does not have that problem. Strange since the Panda scan on VirusTotal shows clean. Might want to talk to Panda’s team to resolve the false detection.

I want to convert a vista 64 bit boot drive (os) from MBR to GPT format but this is only supported on win 8 and up.
Can this program overcome this issue ?

    Zero, zilch. nada, nothing.

    Error message:

    “Setup can’t download installation files.
Program will terminate. Please try again.”

Over and over and over, all day long.

    Zero, zilch. nada, nothing.

Ashraf, please return to direct file download to the location of our choice, and email us a copy of the same direct download link and license key.

    Thank you.

There are already too many ‘chaperone’ programs out there that want to babysit end users and re-sell our eyeballs and steal our wallets.

Why make a SINGLE giveaway into TWO programs?

You just DOUBLE your potential for failure, and halved your chance for success.

    Keep it simple.

Well, actually only the SINGLE program arrived for me, since the giveaway never arrived, only the download teaser made it to my computer.

    And what’s it good for?

    Absolutely nothing, apparently.

I’ll move on and abandon SOS and stop referring people to SOS if you do not return to 100% NORMAL, SAFE, and no custom gimmicks, seriously … I might as well purchase competitor’s full programs rather than waste my time trying for a freebie to test that never arrives even after spending -w-a-y- too much time on it.

I should be testing the program, not testing your downloader.

There are only so many hours in the day,

There is NOTHING CLEAR about the gibberish in the downloader program, and for me, clicking [ YES ] or [ NO ] on any screen makes no difference except early or late failure and exit, but always failure and exit.

AOMEI makes good free stuff already, no need to complicate things here.

Aside: I remember working in retails when the walls of the store were cracked and peeling, tired and old, I asked and asked and asked for help to no response from management, so I painted the main entrance walls SAFETY YELLOW the night before a management meeting in the store … the next day, after the owner collected his jaw, teeth, and eyeballs off the floor, explained to me, “We do not sell walls, I have a special Baby-Sh!t-Brown color I prefer so the walls disappear on the customer’s eye, and they focus on what we so sell …”

Ashraf, neither you nor AOMEI sell a “downloader / notification hub” …

    … especially one that is

    unasked for,
    fails, and
    immediately drives customers away.

    Dump it.

Seriously, Ashraf, take a chill pill and get back to basics of marketing.

And repeat the AOMEI offer sans garbage-bag-tote container.

I certainly con’t want to waste my time troublshooting your program when I shoud lbe testing AOME’s software.

Thanks — I’m looking forward to you taking a deep breath, and re-startinf as good old plain and simple ( I thought you learned the lessons of GOTD’s locked ‘Setup’ inquisitor and encoding … oh well, some lessons take repeated exposure ).

Claims to download, fails to install.
Claim the “hub” doesn’t install anything is a lie; it leaves a little notifier running.
Not interested in anything from here until this goes away.

If I have a Win7 system that won’t boot because of a MBR problem, could this program convert it to GPT and then convert back to a bootable MBR?

[@Peter Blaise] Download Hub is here to stay. You can either continue to cry about it or you can help me try and fix whatever bug is stopping you from downloading. Do you have Internet Explorer installed?

[@Fred Thompson] Sorry, but I don’t lie. We only install anything if you click ‘Yes’. The only way our Notifier was installed on your computer is if you clicked ‘Yes’ when asked if you want to install the Notifier. Also, please provide more details about what do you mean install failed?

[ @Ashraf] — cool out, man, we’re HERE, so we’re your best buds, not your enemy.

We don;t give feedback ( negative or positive ) because we hate you, we give feedback ( negative or positive ) because we love you, man!

Anyway, ‘crying’ wasn’t an option, but never recommending SOS again was — because others ( not me ) are either too naive or too busy to circumvent the attempted controls within your SharewareOnsale Downloader Hub, so your SOSDH just cut off customer expansion through me as you try to exert customer control.

What did they say in Viet Nam after burning a village to the ground?

Oh, yeah, “… we liberated the he!! out of this village …”

So, you controlled the he!! out of future customers through me.

I don;t hate you, man, I’m just letting you know what conditions are acceptable, and what conditions are not.

I do not refer people to GOTD anymore, but I use it, because I know how to work around their ‘controls’.

Insulting your customers who give you extensive feedback is telling — so, you are not really into marketing anything but your ego, really, eh?

Hahahahaha — c’mon, laugh with me, Ashraf, this is funny.

Every enterprise goes through steps forward and steps backward, just admit this is one or two of those, and don’t make it worse.

( Hint: delete your prior insult, and send a personal apology to my email, or better yet, publicly apologize and make nice with those of us who continue to give you hard-wrought feedback instead of just leaving you without a word of explanation. )

You say Microsoft Internet Explorer is REQUIRED to run SharewareOnSale Downloader Hub?

    Seriously?

The most maligned and insecure ( and unrelated ) product in the universe is REQUIRED to run SoftwareOnsale Downloader Hub?

While I appreciate that you probably want to

( a ) control distribution of your freebies so only visitors to your site can get the programs, and you can count them,

( b ) AND promise your vendors that they will not be unfairly taken advantage of by distribution outside your SOSDH,

… I put it to you that a voluntary beta test of your SOSDH would have given you the feedback needed to help prevent the shock, SHOCK, you read when folks said “nope, never gonna download here again” right off the bat.

    See?

This has become a discussion of your SOSDH instead of a discussion of AOMEI Dynamic Disk Manager ( which requires AOMEI Partition Assistant, not included, to be installed FIRST, otherwise, it is essentially a useless accessory unable to attach to the necessary prior product installation ).

So, are you or AOMEI planning on offering the FIRST product, or do we just discuss SOSHD because AOMEI Dynamic Disk Manager is dyskfunctional ( ha )?

Visit AOMEITech.com, for those who want to unravel and reconstruct what went wrong with the non-SOSDH part of this offer … maybe you have to buy something to get this additional accessory to work.

    Oh well.

It was good while it lasted — everything grows … and dies … and maybe is reborn again, anew …

    Thanks to you and AOMEI.

    Cheers from Berlin:-)

PS: I have not installed the SOSDH with.
Maybe with the next spot if you have cleared up about that.
