Installation fails on PC running windows 10. Tried several times.

Will not install on windows 10 1909. tried several times, even as administrator, gets to about 60% fails, and nothing in the folder that it was supposed to install to. my personal thought is this is a SCAM! going by what everyone says here, funny also my review on the download page has also been deleted. So this must be a SCAM!
Any chance a working version will be uploaded?
I used this in the past and liked it a lot. Very responsive, and image quality was nice! I’ll give them a few more days to work out the installation bug before trying it this time. I know it must be difficult to test on a PC with so many different antivirus & security programs and different releases of Windows…. Maybe we could get a group of us SOS users to test installs before they are released to everyone else, unless that’s already our role in this!
[@Mr.Dave] I’d like to add, that it would seriously help developers to fix issues if we would include in our comments: what version of the operating system we’re using (i.e., Windows 10/64 Home), maybe the rev level (like 1909), what antivirus or other security programs we’re using, what options we picked during install. There are many dozens of other differences in PCs that can affect installs, but these basics would be a great start. Could also help us if it turns out, for example, something doesn’t work on XP or 8.1 but is fine on 7 or 10. Then some of us could at least be confident in installing it, and others wouldn’t waste their time until a fix is available.

When I downloaded today I got version v1.4.9.17, build 6/24/20. Install and activation worked well. I installed over a much older SOS giveaway from 2017 so that may have made a difference in the install process…
Some observations:
The old version let me see and hear videos from my iPhone X on my Win 10/64 PC. Some stuttering in the video, even on 720p resolution. Much more on higher res. The license expired long ago, so no more full-screen and there was a small ApowerMirror logo at bottom of the screen.
New version: before activating, the free version had a MUCH BIGGER watermark in the middle of the screen, very distracting. I don’t think I would ever use the free version again except to test. After activation, full-screen worked, watermark was gone. I like that I can rotate the screen as needed. While Running Garageband I noticed only a very small delay, but it’s so much easier to see on my PC screen! Video playback seemed to have a lot more stuttering. I checked and the default screen res is set to 1080p. I set it back to 720p and stuttering was gone — even in full screen.Summary: good program if you want to see and hear what’s on your iPhone better than what the iPhone can offer. Not so good when your license expires, but then ApowerSoft needs to make a living! I will likely buy a license when the time comes, if I’m using this as much as I expect.
Good news if you are quick. They have fixed the download of the file. It was not a complete download of the file that caused the problem. Why no one, involved with this, has bother to alert users of the fix is puzzling to say the least.
