Is this software capable of working off-line or it needs an on-line connection to work properly?
We have several Franzis programs and they are good, including HDR 10 Pro. Internet connection is required to activate, but all processing is offline. I’m sure the giveaway is the standard version. I’m not sure what the differences are.
You can look back through the archive here and find several other Franzis/Ashampoo photo programs to download. All are worth having.[@John] Thank you for your reply. I am in your position: I have almost all Franzis software for image processing and do not know, what the differences between Ashampoo / Francis are, either. :)
What is the true size? Surely it can’t be 866KB?!
[@John] this IS NOT A Franzis program it’s Ashampoo a completely different software company and product and includes some form of AI which might be local/offline which is what Andy was asking.
[@dan] You are right the size of the download is only that of the Ashampoo App downloader that has to be downloaded and installed then you have to create an ashampoo account if you don’t have one or log in using your existing ashampoo account then choose to download the real installer for the ashamppoo HDR 10 AI program which will probably be installed into a subfolder under where you chose to install Ashampoo App… It’s horrific mess ashampoo has created trying to create a steam like app management and download scheme compared to how they used to do it. Sorry I cannot tell you the TRUE size of the program as Ashampoo keeps that secret until you have installed it. I don’t want another steam wannabe system on my machines.
Only the trial version installs. I can’t register.
[@Piotr] it works for me after restart the app. At first i needed to install the test version via the Ashampoo-app and then closing and restart the app….
Same as Piotr. Cannot register. Only install trial version.
