The installer does nothing, just a white empty window appears

the app is -40%, it’s not free ..
First installs Ashampoo app for advertising. Other functions of the Ashampoo app are not apparent. So I aborted the installation. What is the use of a local translation if the additionally installed app may transmit information of any kind?!

Just blank screen of Ashampoo app, nothing is installed and “oops, something went wrong…”. Waste of time.
At start of installation: “Oops. Something went wrong”, blank screen, freezes up.
[@tagr] The provided installer is nothing of the sort, it’s just a custom adware downloader that fails with an error message if it cannot download the true installer, you also don’t normally get access to all the choices in the true installer. Obviously the file server ashampoo are using for this giveaway has failed in some way and no ones told them.
There was an problem starting the local service. Please try restarting the App, reinstalling it or contact the support.
gaah this downloader is to bootstrap download the ashampoo app… they seem to want to be turning themselves into a steam like controlled environment for their programs the ashampoo app itself takes up 303MBytes on the chosen drive before it downloads any actual programs… they also install a service that runs all the time wasting processing slots and time and memory and it requires internet access so is a privacy risk when using ashampoo applications. My vote is to uninstall ashampoo app and pass on this giveaway, it was bad enough with the spamming after participating in a giveaway, this is beyond acceptable for them to effectively install what may well be spyware as well as adware on our systems. The First communication done before you agree to anything by the downloader is an access to a analytics server

Flawless installation for me. Free software. Installation takes quite some time. Please be patient.

Well that was a waste of time. Ashampoo app installed ✅ > logged in ✅ > installed Localingo ✅ > installation complete ✅ > crickets ✅
