As they say, your mileage may vary, and I truly hope this program works flawlessly for most poeple – much potential here but no significant changes or fixes in many years, and I have even worked with them over the phone to see if they can get it working for me. Oh yeah, I’m using Windows 10.

When I uninstalled previous version, a web page opened to ask me for feedback. Here’s the message I left when it asked why I was uninstalling:

Capture of scrolling web pages has never worked for me, not in Firefox, Chrome or Edge in Snap 8, 9 10, and not in Opera in Snap 10 and 11. It typically captures about one-and-a-half screens, but this is not consistent. Also, sound in video captures is out of synch. And, when using LibreOffice Calc, Snap is sometimes triggered simply from copying a cell’s contents. Program is still helpful grabbing and marking up non-scrolling screens, but since I can’t keep it from triggering when not wanted, and only a few capabilities work, I don’t leave it running. Would appreciate a fix for these problems or an easier way to exit directly from capture screen and a faster startup. As it is, it’s faster and simpler to do a capture with Windows & PrntScrn key, load Paint.net, paste capture, crop/edit/mark it, save, exit Paint.net. And yes, I’m upgrading to 12 (SharewareOnSale.com offer) in case anything works better, but it seems all previous “upgrades” have only changed the user interface and not the underlying functionality. I keep hoping you can make it work.

I agree with you sir, that I too have been changing versions 10,11 and 12 for several years
and I still can’t take a picture by “scrolling the screen”!
For this purpose I use another old program “FSCapture” which works much better!

[@Mr.Dave] Update to my previous post: I got an email from Ahampoo in response to my post. I installed Snap 12 (no problems with install, I already had my account set up with them).

In the email, they explained how to do scrolling region captures and sent a link to a video that shows the process. I was able to get it to work on some websites and even non-browser applications like my file manager. It still failed in most web pages / programs I tried, it still SOMETIMES opens its editor when I try to copy cells in a spreadsheet (LibreOffice Calc) but that may be partly caused by Clip Diary. And audio is still out of synch in captured video, but by a much smaller amount than I remember before. The new process for capturing scrolling regions makes sense. So yes, there have been some improvements. When it works, it works well. I wish it always worked but that’s asking a lot given all the thousands of ways developers code web pages and applications. So give it a try, it may do just what you need.

snap 12 is a LOT slower to open than snap 11
The interface has changed a LOT, so be prepared for a learning curve.
Scrolling capture is LOTS slower and works better in snap 11 as far as I’m concerned
Snap 12 won’t remember the size of your editor window whereas snap 11 does
    Lots of little niggly bugs
