Considering the mess left behind by CCleaner v5.33 being hacked DURING PRODUCTION ( see https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/ccleaner-compromised-to-distribute-malware-for-almost-a-month/ ), I’d think that ANY software we install should be clean according VirusTotal, or the software authors should have a really good presentation as to why not.

Security software isn’t infallible and you’re focusing on the positives that are from weak vendors rather than the 51 negatives. If Kaspersky, Norton, and Bitdefender flagged it, that would be another story.

Case in point: the screenshot of today’s offering basically shows false-positives for Windows processes (probably a beta/insider build but still: if one is going to enter a crowded market space, bring something new).
