> What has my browser got to do with pressing F1 in your application? F1 in the application should open the help file locally, if help is on a webpage then the link in Atlantis word processor is broken. There is no local help in version 2.x (and higher). All the links are valid. Please make sure that your security software lets Atlantis open its Help articles.
Atlantis Word ProcessorGuest@atlantis Word Processor thanks for the previous versions.
1.6 has a much nicer interface! is it possible to “skin” Atlantis so the user can pick which skin they like?
Sorry, there are no skins. Versions 1.x and 2.x have identical GUI.
MichaelGuestWhen I downloaded the program I selected the option to save the executable to my computer. When I did that, my antivirus program (AVG) quarantined the executable. VirusTotal.com shows that only Cylance showed the program as unsafe. Oddly enough, AVG shows it as clean.

I don’t think the program is harmful. I know how often false positives occur.
Just wanted to let you know. Thank you for the giveaway.
Registration worked fine. I’ve run the program but I have not had time to use all the functions. In fairness to you, I will give it a good rating.Jhe EndinoGuest[ @Ashraf] Thank you for this app! The UI is fine by me and it has the option to save to epub format which is what I was looking for. The good thing is, this app only consumes approx 3 mb which is more than fine by me that I have uninstalled another app that can save to epub but had consumed almost 500 mb. Thanks again for such a great offer! I will continually test this app and will recommend it to my colleagues. :)
A GreenGuestWhat appears to be a good program with a quite sad (ribbon) toolbar. Have uninstalled the program & will see if future versions have an option to not use the latest toolbar
MaureenGuestI had Atlantis on a previous computer, and was very happy with it — I found it easier to use than Microsoft Word, and with such a light footprint!
I’m very comfortable with the newer interface, which explains every feature when you hover over it. I did, though, turn off the typewriter sound, which I found annoying.
Very, very happy to have Atlantis again! Thanks, Atlantis and SoS.
Mister LeeGuestQuestion for Atlantis Word…
I currently have version 2.0.5.0 installed, (I am very happy with this version).
Is it possible for me to install the current version to another location on my computer, without affecting my old version.
I would like to try the new version, but if I don’t like it, I don’t want to lose access to the older version.
So can I have BOTH versions installed without a problem.
I have done this with other software. Example: I have three versions of Zoner Photo Studio on my machine.
***Note: (I should mention that my current version of Atlantis was acquired from another giveaway offer, so I would NOT be able to reinstall my current version if a new install overwrites the old)
Please advise.
Best regards and thank you — Mister Lee
consuellaGuestHere is what I did to keep both versions. In my Programs Folder I created a separate folder for Atlantis version 3.01. During the installation of today’s offer I chose this folder and everything proceeded smoothly. I have now both versions working on my win 10 32 bit machine.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
consuella
Atlantis Word ProcessorGuest[@Mister Lee] Installing both the standard version of Atlantis Word Processor 2.x (and higher) and this giveaway version 3.01 to separate folders under same Windows account would most probably create registration-related problems. But the giveaway version 2.0.5 and this giveaway version 3.0.1 can be installed in this way.
davidGuestThanks, Ashraf!
Unimpressed with the licensingGuestThis program does not remain registered! On entering the e-mail address and registration code provided it claims to have registered and the About window shows it registered to the e-mail address, but the title bar at the top of the window continues to state unregistered. On closing then restarting the program it shows as not registered in both title bar and About window. This sequence can be repeated with the same result.
Somehow (I don’t recall the exact sequence which led to this) it can end up in a state with a 3 option window giving options to find out how to register, to enter the registration details (again) or continue in trial mode and the the program locks up. Neither the normal Exit button nor the top right hand cross button close it down (and I had to revert to the Windows Task Manager to stop it).
It appears that the registration/licensing mechanism is not working correctly with this version of the program. I did have an earlier version (possibly version 1.6.6.1?) installed on the PC a few years ago, but uninstalled it during a tidy up of programs which I did not use. Maybe some remanants of the registration/licensing data from that earlier version are left behind somewhere and interfering with the registration/licensing of the new version?Mister LeeGuestThanks for replying to my question.
Atlantis seems to think the double installation could be problematic with the registration.
Have you tried using both installs to see if there were any issues?
Thank you again Consuella!
Best regards, Mister Lee
AntGuestMy activation doesn’t work. :( I e-mailed its support about it.
consuellaGuest[@Mister Lee]
As I mentioned in my previous comment, both said versions of Atlantis are working on my windows 10 32 bit properly. I have tested them several times both before and after I had written my first comment. And the post by the Atlantis rep seems to corroborate my findings. So I wish you good luck, but please remember to create a separate folder in the Program Files for today’s version.Cheers,
consuella
GerryGuestSimply brilliant, thanks Ashraf for all your hard work.
