Hey, [@Dee], try right-clickign on the installer and selecting [ Run as Administrator ].
__________Or … try rebooting into [ Safe mode with networking ] to install it, you may have something watching and blocking, safe mode turn off all that other stuff.
Web search [ how to start in safe mode for windows ( your version, XP, 7, 8, 8,1, 10 ) ].
If that works, then something in regular / virtual / non safe ( ! ) mode is blocking the ports Audials needs.
Let us know ow it goes.
.DeeGuestThanks for trying, Peter, but something solved the problem before I got to try your suggestions. It’s weird:
Last night, I had the problem several times, even after rebooting the PC.
Today, without having rebooting or even logging off, I tried again, and it worked fine.
I guess we’re not meant to understand everything!DeeGuestHow do I install it? Installer immediately stops with message “Downloading installation files … -2147483648%” and then says internet connection needed; click OK when internet available.
Internet is working fine, and I even tried setting default browser to Chrome, Firefox & Edge, all with same results, so it’s not the browser.LuisGuestNot Install. “Setup requires a working interne connection to proceed. Make sure your computeris connected to the internet and click OK . Please check your proxy and firewall setting if problem persists.”
I Have internet connected active;
No proxy;

“An unexpected error occurred.

Use a program like revo uninstaller to uninstall any program, it actively searches for all registry listings associated with the program and removes everything with just a few clicksPeter BlaiseGuestI suggest contacting Audials and then telling us here what happens.

I’m getting more and more tired of vendors who do not participate in these threads, ruining any possible goodwill they may have been trying to raise with SOS visitors.
__________I’m shocked that it installed flawlessly for me, because I usually find every install bugaboo.
This time, I guess that my computer somehow matches some essential criteria that an Audials programmer is using at the moment, so I’ll share:
– recent fresh install and update of OS and drivers,
– no “watchers”, such as no resident anti malware programs,
– fresh reboot, install the program as the first task after the reboot quiesces.
What else can a vendor expect of us?
