    Hey, [@Dee], try right-clickign on the installer and selecting [ Run as Administrator ].
    __________

    Or … try rebooting into [ Safe mode with networking ] to install it, you may have something watching and blocking, safe mode turn off all that other stuff.

    Web search [ how to start in safe mode for windows ( your version, XP, 7, 8, 8,1, 10 ) ].

    If that works, then something in regular / virtual / non safe ( ! ) mode is blocking the ports Audials needs.

    Let us know ow it goes.

    Thanks for trying, Peter, but something solved the problem before I got to try your suggestions. It’s weird:
    Last night, I had the problem several times, even after rebooting the PC.
    Today, without having rebooting or even logging off, I tried again, and it worked fine.
    I guess we’re not meant to understand everything!

    How do I install it? Installer immediately stops with message “Downloading installation files … -2147483648%” and then says internet connection needed; click OK when internet available.
    Internet is working fine, and I even tried setting default browser to Chrome, Firefox & Edge, all with same results, so it’s not the browser.

    I Have internet connected active;
    No proxy;

    Impossible registration

    “An unexpected error occurred.
    Please try again later.”

    And that message repeats itself indefinitely.

    Use a program like revo uninstaller to uninstall any program, it actively searches for all registry listings associated with the program and removes everything with just a few clicks

    I suggest contacting Audials and then telling us here what happens.

    [ https :// audials. com/en/contact/start. html ]

    I’m getting more and more tired of vendors who do not participate in these threads, ruining any possible goodwill they may have been trying to raise with SOS visitors.
    __________

    I’m shocked that it installed flawlessly for me, because I usually find every install bugaboo.

    This time, I guess that my computer somehow matches some essential criteria that an Audials programmer is using at the moment, so I’ll share:

    – recent fresh install and update of OS and drivers,

    – no “watchers”, such as no resident anti malware programs,

    – fresh reboot, install the program as the first task after the reboot quiesces.

    What else can a vendor expect of us?
