for your info, all these techniques and standards for erasing are old, and none-effective anymore with new storage standards and technology. for example DoD 5220.22-M is useless with ssd drive .. and HmG IS5 Baseline is useless with new recovery techniques ..

[@Azure] please cite your sources for your claims as the recording techniques are completely different to when PG wrote his hypothesis which was never practically proven so was not even a theory! And SSD erasure is effective as long as the queued for internal erasure blocks are electrically erased if not then it is possible by physically removing the chips and connecting them to a custom controller the queued for erasure blocks can be read but the erased/overwritten blocks not sectors, are securely erased. Police do not have the resources to do this but nation state intelligence units should.

TK[@tagr] that error usually results from installing a QT based application on a version of windows too old for the edition of QT platform they are using, what version of windows are you trying to install this under as their website cites even XP as compatible here they state Windows 7 is lowest supported sometimes that is due to too new a version of inno installer being used but that would be obvious as the installer would not even be executable under too old a version of windows!
SOS installer is a NSIS installer that contains the Inno installer for the product… odd to say in the least…
Have installed it and executed it ok under 32bit Vista SP2+ no idea what improvements they’ve done since the last version… I note that this also wants to installer drivers which *should not be necessary* for developers familiar with windows programming… I’m not keen on adding third party filter drivers to my windows 10 system as they may introduce instability and why add unnecessary work to an already bloated OS!Windows 10 Home 22H2

[@Azure] What you are saying, then, is that the product sold by this company is totally useless. Am sure they would be unhappy to hear that and would now immediately withdraw the alleged useless product from the market. But you supply no source(s) for your statement? Would you do it now, please, which would help.
