In the Reviews section, a poster named Breaker states incorrectly that BitDefender is made in China.
So, I would like to make it clear that Bitdefender is a Romanian cybersecurity company headquartered in Bucharest, Romania.
Well, duh. Have tried for hours to get this to work. I provide email, get download, but then it goes nowhere. I create an account, I am presented with various pieces to buy. I assume my sos deal is store somewhere at bitdefender. I install the software. After removing existing antivirus, ‘expired’ it says. I delete and reinstall. Same issue. I download whole thing again, yet my account already exists now. Can login but so what. I try to install over the top. Forced to uninstall and boot, reinstall. Now it looks promising, and so far I’ve gotten 3 full scans out of it, whoopee. Finally it says ‘activate’. No sign the correct software is acknowledged at bitdefender. I need some kind of code, never mentioned till now, to activate. 6mos, nope. 5 day demo I’m offered. Wasted 3 days installing. Maybe be great. But if the install ui is so ill thought-out, the program could work great but not be uncontrollable to mere mortals.
The giveaway page is not in English so I can not read the description. The capcha box also not in English so I have to guess what I am supposed to click. Turned off pop up blocker in my Firefox browser. Nothing happens when I click to receive the offer. All in all, I am not overly impressed. Also not willing to trust the security of my computer on this offer. Thank you so much for the offer. Best of luck to you but I will have to pass.
