Ron CavinGuest
Downloaded, installed and registered 64-bit version, followed all registration instructions to the letter, but the program does not work, it freezes instantly upon being launched and I can do nothing with it.
{Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, Intel Quad-core processor, 8 Gb RAM]KevinGuestThis looks like a great program. And I am willing to submit my real email address for marketing purposes. But I am not willing to give my address and date of birth, that is too intrusive in my opinion.
Tom DunlopGuestFor some reason the program runs in German, but I speak English.
Robin StreatfieldGuestIt looks very promising, but everything sent to me is in German but I need English please
Pat OSullivanGuestI’m getting this program in German. When i change language to English, it reverts to trial version.
No choice but to uninstall because i don’t understand a word of German.SuckitjewGuestFUCKING German shit this is why we kicked your asses in the War, we spanked your asses and sent you running like bitches FUCK YOU!!!!!!!
sonycGuestThank you,Ashraf!
ACKGuestWhile it may work well (I’ll never know, never got it to actually do anything), getting it is installed and running is a pain.
Getting the user ID and key requires creating an account on their site and giving up lots of personal information.
Once you get the key, the installer and initial program screens are all in German. Some kind of activation modal opened when the program first ran, no idea what it wanted, couldn’t read it, but pasted the serial # in again and it went away.UI animations and design is cringeworthy. Awful, all-black UI with poor design is hard on the eyes.
I’m experienced masking images in Photoshop, however this program was very confusing. Nothing seemed to work the way you’d expect it to.CraigGuestDID notwork at all. I got a blue spinning wheel. Does not respond.
DavidGuestHi,
I’m David, an employee of Franzis. Thank you for your interest in CutOut. I would like to help you change the language of CutOut. Please excuse the installation and the program start in German. When you install, just click through. “Weiter” means “next”. After the installation, you change the language in CutOut as follows (please download the pdf):
http://transfer.franzis.de/download/CutOut4-Switch_language.pdfHere is also the download of the user manual of CutOut 4 (in English):
http://transfer.franzis.de/download/CutOut4_User_Manual_EN.pdfFor further questions, please use the following contact form. Thank you!
We hope that helps you.
Kind regards,
DavidP.S. As of CutOut 5, the installation is complete in English. In the case of the successor versions, the entry was thus already improved.
Doug DingleGuestI managed to get the registration info, and get through the German installation, but once it loads it throws up some kind of (error?) message in German in a small window inside the program, and there is no way to get rid of it, not by clicking “OK” or by trying to close the small window itself. Then I get a bunch of “JPG error” windows popping up, although I haven’t loaded any images at all. Then the program just sits there, and I have to use Task Manager to kill it.
This happens every time it runs.
Also, I use LOTS of software from EU companies, and they ALL manage to figure out what language Windows is running on my machine, and they load the appropriate language files from the beginning, not as an option later. This is the first time EVER that I have gone to install a program and it can’t do that one simple thing, which makes me question the capability of the people who coded this. I can’t switch to English because the error message it loads on startup has focus and won’t go away, and this would be ANOTHER reason to load the right language pack IMMEDIATELY on installation.
So I’m thinking that so far, this is a complete, total, utter waste of time.
Doug DingleGuestAnd one other thing – the included Photoshop plug-ins are in German as well, with no visible menu selection to change that to English. So incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time.
For those interested, the registration code you were sent for the main program is what needs to be pasted into the window that pops up the first time you run the plug-in. There are two plug-ins, but once you paste the code into the first one, the second one doesn’t ask for it any longer.
NigelGuestYeh, getting as bad as another so called Giveaway site.
Thomas JamesGuestAfter installing and registering Franzis CutOut 4, I tried clicking on the Help button in its opening window. Nothing happened except everything grayed-out in the program’s window. Then I noticed I was absolutely unable to open any PDF files on my computer (running Windows 7 Pro). Even the PDF viewer program I have installed wouldn’t open. Why Franzis CutOut 4 would cause PDF files to not open globally on my system is a mystery. But something is seriously wrong here. Therefore, CutOut 4 will be uninstalled on my computer. I’ve learned my lesson! Hope re-installing my PDF viewer will return things to normal so I can open PDF files again. Geez!
Anyone else here experience this problem with Franzis CutOut 4?
Morris CoxGuestThe registration page is misleading.
“The download link for CutOut 4 is given to you above. The download is an exclusive SharewareOnSale installer with registration built-in.”
It does not have registration built-in.
“To get your license key for CutOut 4, click here to go to exclusive SharewareOnSale registration page. At the registration page, submit your email address and click “SEND”. (At the next page, you will be asked to fill out a short form, but that is optional.) You will now be sent an email with a confirmation link in it; click that click to confirm your email address. Once you confirm your email address, you will be sent another email that contains your user ID and registration code. Keep this user ID and registration code safe, as you will need it to register CutOut 4.”
You must agree to get their newsletter and to agree for them to store and process your data. It claims that you must send an email or write a letter to Germany. “I can revoke this consent anytime informally by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or write to Franzis Verlag GmbH, Richard-Reitzner-Allee 2, D-85540 Haar b. Münche”. The email with the user ID and registration code does state that you can click on a link to unsubscribe.
“Now, download CutOut 4 and install it. During install, you will be prompted with a screen where you must enter the user ID and registration code you received earlier. After that, simply finish installing and enjoy!”
The install process was in German. Once in the program, put in the requested registration code and click the button below it. Then go to the menu button, which is the icon above the first icon in the main window, select the entry above the last item, and choose Default (English). Then restart the software.
The program goes dark(er) if it is not in the foreground, which makes it different to see anything till you put it back in the foreground.
Clicking on the Help button brings up a PDF. In Foxit Reader, I get a security warning that it has been opened by an app that does not have a valid signature. I clicked Cancel and Foxit closes. However, the text that I could see was in German. It is in English if you open it from the Starter/installer screen.
