GuestQuite honestly, I was shocked at how bad the user interface for DeskRule is. The company have obviously spent more time marketing the product than designing it. Absolutely dismal. Heaven knows who would want to buy it. Uninstalled.

GuestDear Julia,
although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, deskrule is a tool, not an oil painting. It is designed to be functional, and managing a possible 300+ different properties to search for isn’t easy. We feel that the existing design is a good tradeoff for usability.
If you have a recommendation to improve deskrule, we’d be happy to hear it and possibly implement it in a future version

Guestnikos,
What distinguishes the lite(SOS hub) from the full version?maxx
GuestThe program searches for files only on the desktop? :))))))
It can search the entire PC?Sailorbill
Guestdownloaded the lite version, wasn’t worth the effort. uninstalled immediately since the decent search options required full version

Guest[@maxx] Dear Nikos, my comment on the interface was entirely related to functionality and nothing at all to do with aesthetics. There’s nothing fantastically complex about the basic concept of your software, however many properties it can search across. The interface should offer some starting points for basic use. It doesn’t offer any. You obviously haven’t done much user testing.

Guest[@Sailorbill] (and maxx), the lite version is as capable as the full version, only you miss the “geeky” search features provided by the advanced panels. For more information see the comparison table here
http://www.zabkat.com/deskrule/lite.htmalso @ maxx, deskrule will search all your computer and any attached hard disks too.
