How to Check if Windows is Booted in UEFI or Legacy BIOS Mode?dan
GuestHow do I know whether or not my PC (nearly 10 years old!) is using UEFI and not BIOS?
I know how to go to my BIOS screen – is there a UEFI screen that is supposed to replace it?sonyc

GuestDownloaded, went to install it, error message came up saying it can only be installed on a machine running a UEFI Windows OS.
I’m running Windows 10 Pro. Can’t get much more UEFI than that.
Too bad. I was looking forward to using it.

How to Check if Windows is Booted in UEFI or Legacy BIOS Mode?Well, as I previously said, that file does NOT exist in my 7.
Anyway, I found another way to check it => no luck, I’m using legacy. So, this run us to the next question : how can I change from legacy to uefi mode ?
I bet it’s not possible until I do a fresh install of 7. That I don’t wanna do.HarFanG

There is no way to edit our own posts ?Anyway, check this https://neosmart.net/wiki/enable-uefi-boot/
Looks like we can switch from legacy to uefi mode and vice-versa.

GuestOther than prior to bootup, is there a way to check whether my PC uses UEFI or BIOS ?
