Hello,
If your operating system is Windows 10/11 x64, you can still try the following download option:https://github.com/workflowtech/hunterdiskcleaner/releases/download/latest/HunterDiskCleaner.zip
Download, extract the files, and run the HunterDiskCleaner.UI.exe file.

GuestVersion control on this is very poor with 3 releases from July to august all called version 1.0.8 https://github.com/workflowtech/hunterdiskcleaner/releases
At best this is a lone developer seeking alpha testers because he doesn’t know he should have done that testing before ever releasing the “product” commercially! Alpha testing is supposed to be done by the developer privately before asking anyone else to install it and run it on their systems… then private beta tests again done before you claim to have something you are willing to charge people for… then announced public beta tests culminating in public release candidate tests and only when all the obvious bugs are resolved do you present your work for sale or stable release. This is at best an unannounced public beta but more likely an unconventional public ALPHA test to downloaders BEWARE and you’d be well advised to not let it delete things with any one click option assuming you manage to install it and register it… If you are not prepared for situations that could result in wanted data loss my advice is skip this one for a more mature piece of software.
I also note that the so called source.zip and tar.gz archives ARE NOT THE PROGRAM SOURCE CODE for the program but web pages to rebuild a basic website for the program… So THIS IS NOT AN OPEN SOURCE PRODUCT! It is a closed source product abusing github.com servers to host their closed source product distribution files. It is abusing the resources of the open source community for their closed source commercial gain as well as abusing us by not warning us that this is a dodgy closed source pre-release program that could easily wreck your system without your intention or consent. File version embedded into the executable at compile time for the most recent version of 1.0.8 actually has a version number of only 1.0.0 so the developer has not set all the meta data to match the version details… It also seems hard coded to a dismal Dark theme… what ever happened to light themes or even following the theme of the host system? I note that the program will only work on aspects of the currently logged in user as it does not request elevated rights so a parent cannot clean up their kids accounts without logging into their accounts and running the program again and applying the license again assuming it permits that mode of licensing… The UI has two main buttons SCAN DRIVE and START CLEANUP… I have several drives on my laptop… which one is it scanning? I note during scanning it made an unannounced and unsolicited attempt at an internet connection after it was activated for pro license from here… that is suspicious activity… only did on the first scan though, not on second scan. The only category it lets you examine is the users\windowslogin\appdata\Downloads\ folder contents which is normally there for a reason… and it just opens it in windows explorer, not within the program so one can select or deselect files for the program to work on… the rest all double clicking to select/deselect toggle there is NO WAY to see what information is included in each category and that makes it unsafe to use considering this is developed by someone willfully stealing github resources… what else could they be self willfully up to? It does claim to be able to detect and offer to delete web browser cache(chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera) but no mention of the various EBWebview cache structures scattered over the drive and often left behind after 3rd part program uninstallation… they also claim “Aggregated web fragments, cached images and script files. (Will NOT affect saved passwords, histories or cookies)” but you gotta just hope they are competent and their word also means something! Personally the most savings it can make is from deleting around 35GBytes of downloaded files… that is just a small fraction of what I’ve downloaded into various download folders and is kept because I want the files for future reference and temporary installations of NSIS installers.. extracted by 7zip… I do NOT want them deleted for a measly 35GBytes of saved space on my 2.5TByte storage… on my laptop. For me if this is to be a serious program it should allow one to view each item and their exact complete path in each category in the program UI and select/deselect them individually. It should also offer t create a system restore point before launching START CLEANUP which you guessed it I never pressed even after deselecting all the categories as I do not trust this developer for reasons already given in addition to the fact they are unheard of and want to mess with my systems internal structures! I don’t think so.

Where is the source code so we can build the program ourselves? You are distributing via an opensource project service so you should be an open source developer… ARE YOU?Rafael

Hi TK,
Thank you for your feedback!
To clarify: Hunter Disk Cleaner is officially verified, published, and distributed via the Microsoft Store, which is our primary distribution channel. The GitHub link mentioned in the forum was simply provided as a temporary mirror for a specific user who had restricted access to the Store.
Regarding the overall design, HDC was intentionally built to be lightweight, simple, and straightforward for everyday users who want a clean system without navigating complex technical configurations.
Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!Best regards,
RafaelRobert
GuestI enter the key, and it says the licence has been activated to Premium Pro. And when I click “About”, it says that it’s the free version. When I start the program again, it says that my subscription has expired !!! Every time, it’s the same. I tried to launch and register as admin, the same !!! What a mess !

GuestI uninstalled it and, as cleverly suggested by Rafael, downloaded the program from https://github.com/workflowtech/hunterdiskcleaner/releases/download/latest/HunterDiskCleaner.zip
Download, extract the files into a folder, and run HunterDiskCleaner.UI.exe file.
I entered the key, and now it keeps the pro version without reverting to the free version.
@rafael : many thanks and congratulations for your idea.Rafael
