I have tried various uninstallers – and do notice their differences.
– Windows….. is very basic and leaves junk which eventually caused my computer to not function anymore, so I had to reinstall the whole thing.
– Revo free ….. won’t work uninstalling all the leftovers from 64 bit programs.
– Revo PRO ….. (you can get on tryout for free) has been great. It backs up my computer before an uninstall and then removes every little but of junk left over by the removed program.
– Ashampoo uninstaller PRO ……. (which I got here) I tried as an alternative to REVO PRO. Unfortunately, it did not uninstall everything. When I restarted my computer, and searched for the old (suppossedly) removed program, I found some remnants. This is unacceptable. So my opinion of the Ashampoo uninstaller is junk.
– ioBit, …… I noticed on community forums, has a shady reputation and makes me afraid to even try it. Also it will not backup your computer before removing the program that you no longer want. No back-up is unnacceptable for me. Also a short little 6 month license is for me worthless.
My advice is if you have to remove a program, simply try out the trial version of Revo Pro and get your computer tidy. If you want to continually remove programs, then buy the Revo Pro.
