    Hi guys,
My name is Daniel. I’m the creator of Iris.
There was some issue with some activation and if you get message like this
“You have already used this code on another machine”
This is fixed. Just close and reopen Iris mini.
If you still get this issue write to me at [email protected]
    :)

Thanks for the great feedback also to Dennis and Melvin. :P

I hate a program that just inserts itself into your registry very anonymously. This creates no program folder, no shortcut, no tracks whatsoever.

    1) Putting a zip file within the SOS installer is not a good idea as it screws things up when using a software installer! (in my case, Soft Organizer)

    2) Without a shortcut there is no way to launch it, Thus, no informational GUI to see either, just the list of dimming choices from right clicking on the system tray icon it creates. On first open, it said I was set at “80% Custom”. Custom???!! Custom for who? Who set that? Certainly not me! When I clicked on that entry, it just disappeared, did not give me a custom option to change it and now is at “75% Medium” and “Custom” has disappeared.

    3) Okay, now I clicked “Exit” and it is off. No longer in system tray. How do I turn it on without a shortcut or program folder to find it? Another restart, honestly?!

    3) When I hover over the system tray icon, it states my location. Why in the world would such a program need my location?

    4) There is no way to uninstall it! Huh, WTF! Without a program folder or any tracks, there is not a way to remove it other than a system restore? Again, WTF!

    5) FYI, I use AnVir Task Manager which shows all programs on the system and information such as file location, company info, etc. All the info for this program is blank! Everything about this program seems to purposely be anonymous. The company’s own website shows no location, no contact info other than an email.

I like to control and know what goes in on in my computer! SOS, I love you but this program is a big mistake, IMO!

There is version with installer and uninstaller here
    http://iristech.co/download/1923/

It needs the location for automatic dimming.

The restart is needed, because it makes your monitor better for your eyes (removes flicker, blue light, etc.) and removes some Windows limitations.

    More specifically:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ICM
    GdiIcmGammaRange

Nobody needs your info or anything like that. There is no info stored on the server also.

Again it’s not a big company, it’s one man project.

    This is the website:
    http://iristech.co

You can find my phone here and if you really want I can give you my home address.

[@Daniel Georgiev] Hi Dan, Hey sweet work you did here, i can tell a huge difference on my 36″ monitor as soon as it was installing. Great job getting that license issue fixed. This is a hard crew of people if their FREE stuff does not work 1st time right out of the download. I am looking forward to tonight and seeing the difference with the back lighting.

Works great and will go to your site to read about how to find these hidden features.

    THANK YOU

[@Daniel Georgiev] WOW and LOL try and “GIVE” your hard work away and they come out of the wood work like cockroaches with butter knifes. Yeah location would be needed so it knows your time zone. RELAX it’s not the CIA, FBI, or Interpol coming to see what software you have or which porn site you visit the most.

Once again DAN on behalf of the N.T.P. (N)ormal (T)hinking (P)eople Thank you very much for real.

I’m a person who cares about colors.

When Iris is in paused mode or after Exit
    The calibration is restored.

I will see the issie with Win XP and fix it today

    @ Daniel Georgiev

    No, I don’t agree.
Chance made that I had checked my calibration some days before. (In fact, I check calibration every week) . After testing Iris Mini Pro, and restarting the machine, the calibration was changed. It is not completely false, but the gaps type on the luminance values are larger and come out of calibration criteria.
