njwdtGuestI downloaded this from a past giveaway and at that time had some suggestions for the developer. I have downloaded this latest version and I’m pleased to see that SOME of those suggestions have been implemented, which shows that they do listen to their users.
I still feel frustrated by the interface. I can’t find a setting to change the default directory where it saves everything in as you’re creating a book.
It has used AppData\Local\Kotobee Author on my C: drive but I want to use a different drive and I can’t find anywhere to change it.
I also can’t find any way of changing my email address.
There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to enter a default ‘author’ name and the program defaults to ‘Kotobee’ as the author rather than blank.
The software does seem to have a lot of useful features and seems quite comprehensive.
davidGuestThanks, Ashraf!
AhmadGuestGreat Programm, thanks a lot.

Firstly thanks for your compliment. In response to your comments:1) You can’t change the default directory (why would you want to change that?). It’s a temporary app directory which was previously hidden from users, but we now link to it (from the Support > Show working directory menu item) for advanced users who want to see the structure of their files. You can also access this structure from the File Manager interface inside Kotobee Author. Maybe you can convince us with a use case as to why you would want to change the default directory.
2) Your email address is your account ID basically. So you can’t change it as easily as you can change your name. But if you would like to change it, just let us know and we’ll do so. Alternatively, you can register for this giveaway using your new email, and just ignore the old account.
3) Yeah there isn’t a default author – we don’t have this setting. Worth thinking about. Thanks for bringing up the idea – we’ll take it into consideration.
Thanks once again
AymanGuest[@njwdt] Please see my reply above – I accidentally tagged David instead.
DanGuestIn January 2017, I downloaded this program, and I found it to work quite well. In May 2017, they added additional limitations to the free program. Today, came the last straw, I received an email invoice from Kotobee, urging me to pay for the free program “to avoid any inconveniences that may interfere with your work.” Avoid this program. Avoid all Kotobee products.

WalterGuestHi
I just lost my serial number. I went off the web page. It says I already have registered but have no licence key to register it with.njwdtGuestYou can’t change the default directory (why would you want to change that?).
Thanks for your reply.
You want to change the default directory when you have a small SSD drive as your C: drive and want data to be stored on a different drive.
Thanks
