Same Error as Kim on a brand new Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2in1 5379 (Win10 Home64 original by Dell). Looks as if it installs with no problem at all –
but when you run it, it shows the error message. Installing as admin shows the same reaction.
So what ? Seems to be useless on modern ssds/processors.[@Peter] Glad you love it

Get error “storage access driver failed to install” and program does not run further than that. Win XP SP3
Not a great start for a program that could do real damage to a hard disk.[@Kim] Sorry about this issue, as I replied for your first same message, it won’t do any damage to hard disk. Please download the portable from https://www.hdd-tool.com/debug/win10/x64.zip

I have the same issue on my windows 10 64 bit, as Kim does on her XP SP3.
I was hoping that the portable application downloaded at the link you had provided earlier, would work but it too gives me an error saying something to the effect that it cannot find the path or that I have not enough privilage .
I did try to run it as Administrator, but to no avail.Considering that other users have also encountered various problems with this program, I have concluded that this program has some serious bugs and needs more testing before the next release.
Therefore, for now, I am going to stay away from it.
