Good software, but I have had this version installed on my PCs for at least two years ….Bonjour, Je dispose déjà de l version précédente et j’en étais satisfait. J’ai voulu installer cette nouvelle version et j’ai demandé, conformément à la procédure, la clé en fournissant mon Email. Voilà plus de 4h que j’ai fait ma demande et toujours rien reçu! Je vais devoir désinstaller ce produit!
Désolé!I am an American and speak only English. I tried to follow the directions for getting the registration key and got the following code for a license: JPD1-04M4-67TX-LD8I-1TZK
After installing the program and opening it, I went to the registration link and put in the 20 digit license number above. It said it was invalid and now I’m locked into a 30 day trial.
Can you help me?

Excellent, excellent software. The newer version 8 is not terribly different from the version 7 offered here, so not to worry on that account. This is one of the few disk / partition image backup apps that will let you create a bootable USB stick that works with Secure Boot enabled, which most current PCs/laptops have turned on. Disk / partition image backup software works by cloning the hard disk partition to a VHD [Virtual Hard Disk], which can be browsed like a regular hard disk once mounted or cloned back to a physical hard disk. Usually only the backup app can access or mount that VHD, but O&O DiskImage also lets you use Windows own .vhd format, and while using that will probably make your backup archives larger, they can also be mounted or opened using Windows, with no other software required. A final note, if you do wish to upgrade to version 8 [or a future version 9?] O&O occasionally has some really great sale pricing, so if interested watch for their emails.
Question for anyone who has used this – if you lose your primary drive (along with this app), can you install the backup without this installed/registered elsewhere? And does this create a “byte for byte” exact duplicate? Thanks.

I’ve received the email with the software offer today, but Sale has already ended! WTF?
Downloaded, installed and runs without issue on an external drive.
On the download page there is a link to request a license key. Once you do that, the confirmation page is in German but, basically, states they’ve received your request. The reply with the license came within seconds of requesting it. I can only suggest trying again for those of you who did not receive that email. Otherwise, perhaps you want to try contacting their support team through the email address listed on the contact page on their website. (I would paste it here but am unsure if that is allowed)
FYI, when inputting the key, it asks for name and company. Check your email with the key, in mine both those fields contained my email address so that is what I put in those fields when registering and it took without issue.
