GuestPC Services Optimizer is 100% malware-free. According to VirusTotal, there are 2 detections out of 71. Definitely a false positive:

GuestBe careful with this if you do not know how the internal services and core functionality interact as you could end up stopping something critical for windows operation or even booting or security. The thing is people who would be safe using this are fully capable of diving into registry editor and disabling the services they feel necessary… People that are not comfortable with using the registry editor should not be faffing with the windows services with the help and advice of some 4rd party developer that does not even know exactly what every service does but relies upon 3rd party pseudo-experts posting articles on the internet with no validation of the information they post. Same reason why you should NOT use AI to backup your arguments as it is nothing but an unchecked internet data re-packager and has no actual intelligence and does not know correct information from fiction in addition it can hallucinate and present it as if it’s truth.

Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns. Safety around Windows services is absolutely a valid topic, and we take it seriously. However, this review sounds like it’s based on general concerns rather than hands-on experience with PC Services Optimizer, since the tool includes guardrails for the exact risks you describe.
PC Services Optimizer is designed as a safe tool for novices who need to optimize and manage Windows services—an area that normally requires expert knowledge. Here’s how it addresses the concerns raised:
Critical services are excluded PC Services Optimizer only offers options to optimize Windows services that are not critical for system operation. Services critical to Windows, booting, or security are not presented as optimization targets.
Services are changed to Manual, not Disabled. This is a key safety difference. Setting a service to Manual means Windows can still start it when needed—for example, when a dependency or feature requires it—while Disabled prevents it from starting at all. That reduces the risk of breaking core functionality.
Service configurations are automatically backed up. Before changes are applied, PC Services Optimizer creates a services snapshot so configurations can be restored.
Users are warned about potential issues. For example, the app warns that disabling Windows Update-related services can prevent installing Microsoft Store apps.
Each service has a clear explanation. The app explains what each service does in plain language, so users are not relying on unchecked third-party articles or guesswork.

Guest[@Ahmed] Quite right my comment NOT review is based upon the genre not on your specific program. I do not have a need for your program as I’ve tuned the services I felt were intrusive, and I too have switched some services from automatic to manual so they are not running ALL the time in an unnecessary manner taking up CPU process slices for no justifiable reason and in hopes that when the hosting program is executed it can bring the service back to life… it does not always work… and it also means the service remains running after the hosting program has been exited so is NOT a solution but a kludge. Other services I have disabled and others that were locked as automatic to hacked disabled by renaming the executable or adjusting the registry permissions so no process had the authority to revet it back to automatic. I still believe those that are well informed enough about services can do the fine tuning of them themselves and those that cannot do it themselves should not be fiddling with things they don’t understand. Also don’t forget there are 3rd party services too that you have zero knowledge over as they are proprietary in function and have not published any information about their services so you cannot honestly advise on what to do about those. Also Microsoft have not published everything their services do. They only publish what they want you to know they are doing in the background.

GuestYour previous promo (March 2026, if I’m not mistaken) was for a year, like this one.
How do you explain that when the program opened now (six months later)- without any updates having been made – we found ourselves forced to choose between the Pro (paid) version and the free version?Mardel
GuestJust curious….would this help me by removing “computer is managed by organization”
