I had no problem getting product code after following instructions
given by SoS.Problem was I just could not get it to activate. As a last resort I
disabled my firewall completely and it activated no problem.Note I did have other security measures in place.
To be fair, so far I find Perfect PDF 9 a pretty decent editor, certainly
seen worse.If you already have a default program to open PDF files, and only want this program to first consider whether it should be the default PDF application, know that, without any warning, this program will remove the connection to your default program. You will need to set the default program back, unless you really want to switch to Perfect PDF 9 editor as your default.
In my comment regarding changing the default PDF program, there is an option in the dialog following choosing the “install to” location where the user can uncheck a box, labeled Open PDF files with Perfect PDF.
At the end of the install, the program will try to open Internet Explorer 11 instead of your default browser. This was a common practice a few years ago (use Internet Explorer). These days, Internet Explorer is not installed on most computers, and Microsoft wants everyone to make the switch to Microsoft Edge.
