There is NO SUCH THING as [ PHOTO WORKS projects 3 standard ] at FRANZIS’s web site, so this is an invented giveaway of no known value. ‘elements’ sells for $23.24, , unqualified Projects 3 sells for $18.6 and there no feature-set comparisons between ‘elements’ versus ‘standard’, so … anyone? Anyone?

Their prices are all over the place, projects 3 anywhere from 16 euro to 60 euro, so search their site via Google as

… but they only offer downloads after payment, no demos.

Basically what they have done is break Photoshop-like programming into little batches and sell each group as a separate product, exposure, focus, sharpening, color, black and white, effects, all separated out with no easy cooperation between them — less work and more money for them than competing head on, and by having a jumble web site, they “get you” at whatever door you enter through, where the same product sells for a variety of prices, some people paying as much as 3 times or more than others pay for the same product, and there is no organized catalog of all their offerings — as messy a bazaar, as bazaar a bazaar as there can be..

And, once you receive the ID and registration code / serial number ( SAME THING ), DON’T click the [ 1. Internet ] button in the program’s registration, just type in your ID and registration code / serial number ( SAME THING )and proceed … then type in, er, cut and past your serial number / registration code ( SAME THING ) again.

It has nice features with plenty of benefits, opens raw files, and with much patience, and learning their ideograms ( gratefully with pop up explanations that are somewhat more helpful than idiot-grams, but experience tells me more, so take notes on the 5 — of thousands of –features you will use most ).

I would like automation and export to Flickr and Picasaweb, but, hey, no one seems to believe in Picasa anymore, not even Google.

there are 3 stages you must pass successfully.

1.a Register – first page

Check the “I agree with the storage and processiong my personal data”

Press the SEND button

1.b Register – second page (already registered)

Please enter your email address and your password

Press “Get your free code now” button

If you don’t rememeber your password ask for a new, use the “Forgotten your password?” link.

Start the register process again and use the password you got in an email.

1.c Register – second page (Wrong or missing password)

If you are waiting for your free code long time you are in this stage.

The message “Your confirmation email is on its way to you” is missleading, you will never get that because you must login first successfully.

You got a red fail code: CLB-002 , it means the password is wrong.

What you can do now:

use your password if have any or ask for a new, use the “Forgotten your password?” link.

Start the register process again and use the password you got in an email.

2. Complete data

You now passed the registrering, you have the message “Your confirmation email is on its way to you”, but you must confirm your data and send the form.

3. Confirmation

You will receive your USER-ID and licence-code to your registrered email address.

Now the email is on its way to you.

When you got it, start the setup and paste in both user-id and the licence-code to start the install process.

When you start the program the first time, it asks for the licence-code again to register the program.
