[@Skippy] existing customers have already tried the product and know if they want to rent/buy the software… I presume one can export the data from one account and import it into a new account if you look at the options… so create a new account and get another year free with some extra work on your part.

I purchased a “lifetime” license for roboform then in version 4. Everything worked fine until I tried to upgrade version 6 to version 7. The lifetime license no longer worked. I tried to contact the maker but nothing was ever replied to. I moved to LastPass and never looked back. Just a warning to potential users of RoboForm!

The software works well, but their support (when I ran it) varied from REALLY RUDE to NONEXISTENT, and when they decided the subscription model was what they wanted to use, I started looking elsewhere. I stumbled on a multi-user forever license from Sticky Password (for around $50), and dumped the subscription model from Roboform (it allowed exporting of data, as they all seem to do). Sticky has its issues (they ALL have issues) but at the price I paid for a lifetime use license for three machines, I’ll put up with those. Most of Sticky’s issues have to do with how aggressive it is in offering to generate passwords, and how it sometimes can’t identify the endless variations in login screens, especially those that pop up with a URL that doesn’t resemble the main page. But overall, pretty good.

[ @Ashraf] I have used Roboform before (free level) and it’s very good if you believe in password managers – on the one hand they ARE convenient, but also if you have your laptop stolen people COULD use it without having to do much – for some (like Roboform) they DO ask for your Master password EACH time, which is more secure like 2-factor authentication.

Run – don’t walk away from this company.. sold bunch of lifetime licenses and they won’t honor them. Greedy company .. get Bitwarden 100% better.. and open source.. not this closed ecosystem junk

Yes you can, you just have to transfer the “My Roboform Data” file from documents to the new machine and put it in “documents file”.. I keep mine backed up on thumbdrive.
