il programma viene ripetutamente bloccato neella sua installazione da bit defender , malgrado lo abbia inserito nelle eccezioni, sia nella funzione antivirus che in Andvanced threat Defener.
This is a wonderful offer which I thank you for. Unfortunately, it did not work on my machine. The error message says it could find a certain entry point or file in a certain dll. Too bad.
The description says that the program reads Audio Formats: MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, and uncompressed WAV files.
It also supports video containers: MP4, MOV, MKV, and WEBM, but when I tried to upload files, it didn’t detect any of my MP3 files and said that MP4 isn’t supported.Adding to my review below, don’t waste your time, as the program is a failure. It doesn’t work and doesn’t recognize any formats. Uninstalling :(

Of course this shows the exact same bad behavior as all current softorbits products in that it forces installation into an insecure subfolder of the logged in users appdata folder and downloads unattributed CC licensed AI model https://huggingface.co/istupakov/parakeet-ctc-0.6b-onnx
places it in a fixed location on the system drive also
C:\Users\[WINDOWSLOGINNAME]\AppData\Roaming\com.softorbits.voicedictation It also installs if not already present Microsoft Edgewebview2 NO GPU acceleration supported only multi-core CPU supported and while processing a wav file the computer becomes VERY sluggish or snail like. It is NOT implementing co-operative multi-tasking so to use the computer as intended the priority of the voicedictation.exe process needs to be lowered to below noraml, and then the windows UI wakes up again. This program is badly designed, badly programmed and badly installed. IMHO. The underlying voice to text transcribing model produced by hugging face user istupakov is quite good, shame about the GUI! It’s cooking my C:drive SSD at 54C! Awww the transcription of a 188MByte WAV file failed with a non-zero error value returned. There is also conflicting information with part of the software claiming it’s version 1.5 and other parts clearly state version 1.2 and update checking is disabled and while transcribing this wav file there is 45.5/51.1GB committed and 13-15.8GB of physical RAM in use. Add files defaults to just supported video file types and ignores audio file types… it should default to all supported file types! was unable to write the transcript txt file to the videos folder so 100% failure on all file transcriptions just works quite well on recorded speech via system microphone… but it is not real-time… it records the voice first then when recording is stopped the recording is processed. I’m deleting it all now.Just a quick note to thank @TK for his reviews. Always informative and helpful. Please don’t stop doing these.
[ @Ashraf] I trialed the software while accidentally using something else as well. So I got two lots of the pop-up window. LOL. The other one I use is called Willow. Paid plan. Unlimited dictation and unlimited Scribes.
TK has done a good work . Agree. However: I would not uninstall SayOnce because of SSD/CPU concerns. I havent notice any heat of my NV.Me2 drive for dictations. Also i havent notice any overload with dictations. TK must notice the overheat issues with transcribing. which i honestly not intend to do or test as yet. Re AV issue- probably because it installs all program and pack into AppData folder (instead of Prog Files). I wish it would offer where to instal the program , which drive, and offer portable version. COMODO AV didnt find any malware or virus
In conclusion: Dictation works and works almost as fast as the internal windows Win + H dictation. But it works better. it fixes grammar, punctuation and many other things making the dictation way better. I wish they would make it portable . As it is a tool that doesnt need to be installed in C drive or AppData directory. As for Temp audio/ cash files – i am planning to create virtual link to a Esata drive to avoid read/ writes on my SSD. Short: Use it for dictation if Win + H is not gd enough, dont use it for anything else.[@Chuck] Hi, I also am having issues with Bitdefender Total Security quarantining the software.

I tried running ‘SayOnce Voice Dictation Software’ but received this “The procedure entry point “GetPackagesByPackageFamily” could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll.” I clicked “OK” and everything ended. Not sure what I need to do??? PLEASE HELP!!!
