Offer page says that you get free updates. After installation, on first launch, the program comes up with a message saying a new version is available. When I install the new version, the program then says trial period is over and prompts me to buy!!!

I’m having the same issue. My issue may be due to the fact that I had on older version from Giveaway of the day that doesn’t allow upgrades (at least in 99% of the cases).Thanks

From what version you need to take the language file?
Version 1.4.0.612 or Version 1.4.0.591 ?

[@Reed] Same issue for me. I’m running Windows 10 64 Bit. It says free updates in the description, so I checked the Shadow Defender website and the updates listed after the giveaway version said they were Windows 10 fixes, so I updated, it turned into a trial version. Useless without the fixes listed in the updates at least for me. Why? Because I don’t see the point in trying a program THAT MIGHT WORK SOMETIMES BECAUSE OF DOCUMENTED KNOW ISSUES BUT NO FREE FIX.
Having same upgrade issue as everyone else. If you upgrade, it reverts to trial mode.

Many thanks Ashraf for this nice piece of software! Easy to use and works perfectly (windows 7 pro)… I was waiting for this one since a long time!
Yet, I have a (minor) problem with the update> Unlike other people said, when I installed the program it did not ask to update. And searching how to update it, as the developer said free updates, I could not find any ways to update in the program…
So it will be nice to have the developer telling us how to update and how to update without reverting to a trial version! Thanks!I think this program allows updates for this particular version only but not allows upgrades to future newer versions. A little bit confusing today’s Terms and Conditions!!!
