Does not work. I took two screenshots of websites and it said it could not extract text from them.

Use Microsoft’s Powertoys – works every time. And it’s free – no 200 “credits.”

No, Snipping Tool does not recognize text.
This is NOT a local computer program but a cloud based OCR web application, the fact that it’s limited to 200 credits means the so called lifetime license is meaningless and anything you upload to such web applications is instantly out of your control and is accessible by the sites owners and malicious hackers as no website can be proven to be 100% secure. You have to trust they will honour their privacy policy… Oh dear they DO NOT EVEN HAVE A PRIVACY POLICY! So they do not promise any limitations on how they will use your data just that they use industry standard encryption… well duh you use https TLS1.2 so what? What do you do to keep the data secure on your servers and the results secure on your server so ONLY the logged in account holder can access the results of the OCR and any stored images?
I am certainly not going to use this even to test to see if the OCR engine handles right to left languages or formatted scanned documents.
There is not even any mention of what plan this SOS lifetime license belongs to e.g. BASIC, Pro or Power or none of the former? Only the Power plan has any AI powered features according to their site… is this that?the panel states “6 credits per image · 200 left”
That means we cannot even TRY 200 images and it’s only the BASIC package so does not support

No…No…No… Why? Because it’s a “No, No” meaning its not “Gold Standard” in comparison to what Microsoft Powertoys offers and NO PRIVACY POLICY is referred to, as far as I can see. And what’s this business about “200 Credits” – what a load of nonsense – and that’s another NO for me! Giving this a VERY wide berth.
