The application simple doesn’t work
1. No picture can be loaded, because the app refer to the miisng right to open any image.
2. If I load a picture, use the Copy clipboard option, the image allow the selection of the image part, but do not make any image correction
3. After install, it is impossible to change the UI language.
4. When I selected the sample “deals.ico” to load, the app crashed.Summary: it is not ready for publication

crap, the program crashes right after install and freeze everything
Al lancio del programma compare il messaggio di errore: “il file di setup è corrotto, si prega ottenere un nuovo file”, subito dopo il computer va in crash. Ho provato a scaricare il file dal sito della SoftOrbits, ma compare lo stesso messaggio. Disinstallato.
If anyone wants this installable to a location of YOUR choice rather than softorbits default in the users AppData subfolder I can recompile it so you can choose to install it in the proper place C:\Program Files\ or on another drive of your choice, reply here and I will make it available for download from one of my cloud storage providers.
This is NOT an editor like GIMP or PAINT you cannot create a new image with it is strictly a tool kit for pre-existing images, couldn’t get it to download the claimed 3GB of AI models… an error file was generated containing amongst other text:
“System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server —> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions 172.67.157.116:443”
It is really a glorified photo retoucher with additions like watermark text tool and a couple of other things.
I rescind my offer to create a better installer for this program as the way it’s compiled we cannot stop certain components from being stored in %userappdata% subfolders as the paths are hard coded in the programs executable…
I was able to download, install and register the program, no problems.
However the installer never quit, it remained active, I had to terminate it manually.
The program locked up on me a few times and many times my input commands to
do something were ignored! I think it would be great if it worked properly, my grade would be
a “C” at best ! I am an educated PC user and wok in IT.Says registration code is valid but when I push register it says error.
The program froze my PC as the green indicator bar was close to 100%. I was fortunate a reboot worked and there was no sign the program had been installed. I’m not about to retry the installation, as the saying goes ” fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Is there much to say about the “programs” of a “developer” that is not able or willed to fix the missing installation dialogue since years now? – Not even that.
Every word spent on it is a wasted one.The programs are all pure tragedy, AI Photo Editor 10.4 is no exception.
It is a good self running advertising ploy.
[@Saamwoon] They remove the installation folder dialog because they want to force install the program into an insecure location where those normally restricted in a standard user account, because the computer is not theirs and need an administrators approval to install software, can write. They prevent others that want to install the program properly into a secured location against non-elevated writes or onto another drive letter cannot install softorbits programs where and how they want/need to. It is normally possible to reverse this situation IF you are reasonably proficient with windows using FREE Innoextractor program and a copy of Inno installer package compiler one can extract the contents of the softorbits installer and edit the install_script.iss to not disable the lines:
DisableDirPage=yes
DisableProgramGroupPage=yeseither by ; commenting them out or changing the values to either “auto” or “no”
and probably commenting out:PrivilegesRequired=lowest
and recompiling the .iss script.
At the time I tried to activate this, I ran into the same crash issue as others. I noticed the error and realized it was a website down error. There had been an internet outage affecting several servers that affected many websites. I monitored the site through one of the website down sites (ironically, down detector was one of the sites affected, so I used another) and, when it said it was no longer down, I was able to activate and no crash. It actually works quite well. It’s not better than Photoshop, but it is decent software and does exactly what it says it will. You can’t get the AI filters to work with smaller memory video cards. It still works well and is a pretty decent program. If you got the error and crash, you might try it again now that the website is back up.
