Tried to get through the process to get the key, no go, don’t have a credit card, and would not enter the info if I did. Refuses to accept info without credit card info.
iolo System Mechanic trashed my Windows 7, even blowing out a RAM partition that I’ve used for several months. Some software programs would no longer launch, etc. Fortunately I had, on another disk, a very recent system backup. Be sure that *YOU* do a full system backup *BEFORE* installing iolo System Mechanic so as to actually *RECOVER* from a potential major mess-up! I’ve used the free edition of Macrium Reflect for several years; it’s truly great. Also when I installed iolo System Mechanic some months ago I could not at that time boot my machine. I got a BSOD at every attempt to boot into Windows 7.
Huge thumbs down for requiring credit card info for a 6 month trial vs. usable license. Shame, because I heard this was good. The purpose of these giveaways is supposed to be to get some “seed” users—people who get the freebie, like it, and both upgrade later and tell a lot of people who buy it. This seems more like an extended trial, and knowing they want my cc# (for what? To charge me later without my permission?) nixed the deal for me.

I have used System Mechanic before, on a 6 month trial/offer/lease whatever they call it. I have downloaded this one about 5 times. Turned off the Antivirus and manually let the program through the firewall. It doesn’t install nor loas. I have noticed that in the offer it doesn’t talk about Win10. I have tried the compatibility, still not working. Did I miss something?Thanks, Ashraf!

All well and good, I used System Mechanic 14 without problems.
System Mechanic 15 won’t install all the way. Boo; what good is a program you can’t use well.I use http://www.kerish.org/en/index.php which is like Ccleaner on steroids.
