    I installed and ran on my C: drive and E: drive (flashdrive for backup). It took about a 3-4 minute indexing and after that I searched for a word I use scarcely, A$$, and – bingo, I found all the files where it appeared. I loved it. It works for text like EVERYTHING does for Fienames. Running 64 bit Win 10 FWIW. Good program. I don’t know what the fuss is about, indexing words is much harder to do than indexing filenames. Thanks. I give it 5 stars out of 5.

    My decision was based on the other comments that had issues. plus I am concerned about the “Most” in “Most crash bugs have been fixed.”

    But, based on your suggestion, I decided to give it another try. You are correct. It does not crash as before. Instead, as soon as it is started it closes. Granted, that is not the same as a crash, but I do not see how that is helpful. My experience sounds like the same as jayk’s experience. That is an assurance that it is something in the software that is not working as planned.

    Does it save a log file anywhere? The last modified directory is the Program Files (x86), and the TextSeek directory under that. I do not see log files any in the install directory (os sub-directories).

    Rather than uninstall, if you can make it work for me, I will try again. You might solve an important bug that will help others. I await your response.

    In the new version, we fix all the crash bugs that past users reports to us. But there may be something unexpected, so we use “most”. For the new version, we have not received any bug report mail yet.

    The log is saved in C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Roaming\TextSeek\infoLog.log

    Could you please help to post the log into our support email ([email protected]) to help analyze the root cause?

    The search feachers support all kinds of language even Arabic.
    The UI display language supports English, Chinese, Arabic, French, German and Japanese.
