    .
Thanks, [@Mr.Dave], I wish we had greater dialog here, ESPECIALLY from the program developers themselves — why do they not show up at their own party?!?

So I am not going to even try to comment on all these observations. Clearly it does not say Windows 10 compatible on the Tweakmaster website. That being said there are LOT of very useful utilities bundled with the software which DO work across all Windows platforms:

    Internet Connection Optimization
    Connection Throughput Measurement
    DNS Accelerator
    Advanced Ping and Traceroute
    Network Connections Viewer
    Clock Synchronization
    Connection Minder
    WhoIs client
    DNS client

You will not accomplish much trying to optimize your connection with Windows 8 and 10. But since Tweakmaster was introduced way back in the early 2000’s, Microsoft has come a long way with their internet connectivity and there is not much anyone is doing anymore to improve it.

While these packaged utilities are certainly available elsewhere, having them all bundled in one interface is pretty handy, especially if you are getting it for free. Development is not active on Tweakmaster these days… it has not been so in a few years, so constructive criticism will not accomplish much. Basically it is what it is. We did NOT make the PRO version available for free… but Tweakmaster does have a link to DU Meter… The pro version interface is identical and in the pro version the link opens DU Meter. Certainly it has ALWAYS BEEN our attempt to upsell Tweakmaster users to the pro version and in fact many still do, as DU Meter is a uniquely useful and popular utility.

Depending on how you use YOUR internet you may or may not find DU Meter useful, but hundreds of thousands of users do and it has many large corporation site licenses in place. This is not a sales pitch to buy DU Meter. You may try it for free from the hageltech.com website and can buy it under the current promo for about $22. If not, then you can simply uninstall it. Tweakmaster will still work fine. Like I said, it is listed as one of the utilities on Tweakmaster’s interface because the basic version shares the same interface with the PRO version which does include DU Meter. Anyone who doesn’t understand the business model of trying to get an upsell from one software to another has not been using computers very long or perhaps believes everything on the internet should be free. We SELL software in order to pay the rent and put food on the table. We have generous free trials and anyone is welcome to try DU Meter and uninstall it if they don’t find it useful. Shareware has been around on the internet for more than 30 years now. There’s no adware or malware of any kind in DU Meter. It is a good old fashioned utility first introduced in the late 90’s and is still selling well today after many many improvements over the years.

It is not our intention to offer Tweakmaster for free and then handle a lot of questions or tech support as a result. It is what it is… There is a very extensive on board helpfile as well as some useful tips on the hageltech.com website. Thank you for trying the software, and of course, if you like it, we invite you to try DU Meter.

I should have added that all comments about installation failure should be addressed to Shareware Onsale. The version downloaded from the Tweakmaster website should install on most PC’s without issue. (not XP) Over the years when customers have had trouble with the installation process, it is usually because some background software they are running is interfering with the process. The only way around that is to shut any antivirus or anti adware software down which may be blocking the install and install it again. You can also boot into safe mode and run the install. IF it still won’t install, then the software is just not for you.
