En esta fecha Octubre 25 del 2018, descargue el programa, este ya trae configurada la clave de registro, por lo que ya no es necesario hacer el archivo de texto “Vopt9reg.txt” y funciona perfectamente en Windows XP Pro Gracias al autor por liberar su software!

To install it needs to change its name to something else.
Got the same error as a lot of others here. Went to the site and it seems to be “for sale”, not an actual site. No way to find anything else on the program. Oh well…..
Tried everything to get this to work. I get the same error as the others… Deleted.

Agree, Just change an installation file name Vopt.exe -> Vopt9.exe and follow another description
Have a problem. Can’t install it on win7 32bit. When I run the installation file, it stops with this Error: “The program Vopt.exe must be closed before continuing. Please close the program and click Retry to continue”. Doesn’t matter if I run as a user or administrator.
Interesting. How do I install the program when the installer requests me to close the installer?Just rename the installation files to Vopt9.exe and run. The installation files will be under “Golden Bow” on the Vopt directory to copy your Vopt9.txt file. It works but the program is so old it may create more problems than fixes and shorten the life of SSD who need “Trim” not “Defrag”
