Are “registry cleaners” really needed in these days of robust, capacious computers with advanced o.s.es?
My understanding is that registries are pretty robust and can handle containing a lot of junk; so that the benefits of “cleaning” them are far outweighed by the benefits of leaving well alone.How do I get a license?
Humble advice from someone who has spent most of his life writing and developing software – avoid any applications that claim to improve performance by modifying the Windows registry – such as this application, improving performance requires writing software at a very complex level, for example, special drivers to optimize i/o processes. Also avoid any applications that claim that the registry needs to be cleaned or defragmented. Developers need money anyway.
I service and sell laptops and desktops. On very rare occasions, cleaning the registry may solve a problem, but not very often for sure! Not for Novices, that’s for sure!
I would always make a full registry backup and also set a restore point before using a cleaner. That said, Wise Reg. Cleaner is one of favorites and most reliable and just about always does a stellar job !Thank you!
