3D Fossil includes fossils from the Virginia Museum of Natural History. In fact, the icon for this app is based on one of the oldest trilobites (540 million years old) called Olenellus found in North America from the museum's collections. We have accurately modeled the landscape based on a classic fossil collecting area in Virginia. Most importantly, the fossils have been placed in their correct location, so the player can see the 3D context of the fossils. This helps with the understanding of the geologic ages of the fossils and the geologic history of the Appalachian Mountains. The size and resolution of the graphics have been increased. The player can select from one of four avatars. This app contains our latest navigational and camera controls. For each fossil that is collected, you get a card in your inventory giving additional information about the fossil. At the end of game, players can do a puzzle and assign the fossils to their correct time period. There are no ads and no in app purchases in this app.
