Creativities.PDF is an all-in-one application for managing and converting PDF files.
It provides basic functions for editing PDF files, such as rotating, deleting and extracting pages, text recognition in PDF and image files, adding or removing password protection, converting Office documents and images to PDF. Furthermore you can merge multiple files into one single file, export images that are embedded in a PDF file and compress a PDF file.
An OCR module is also included. This allows you to convert non-searchable documents (for instance, PDF files that include scanned pages with text) into searchable ones or extract text from images.
Creativities.PDF performs all the processing locally, on the user’s computer, without uploading your files online.

Reviews for Creativities.PDF
I had the opposite experience from Colin – all seems ok. I tried this on a 63MB pdf file, an old, out-of-copyright local history book scanned in greyscale at 300 dpi, with engravings in the text. It took a little time, but the result seems to be perfect – I searched for place names and ‘although’, and up popped the matches. In one case the subsequent word was appended – ‘ he’. The engravings seem unaffected. I doubt my work Adobe would do any better, but I will be trying it to compare. The file size increased by 0.5MB.
So the question is why was my experience good, whereas Colin’s wasn’t? I’m guessing it could be down to the quality of the source material, but who knows?
One good thing that surprised me – the 16MB file downloaded seems to be the executable, not an installation file, so this would most likely be portable too.
I have not actually verified the claim that all processing is local. I’ve no reason to doubt it, and it is definitely something I like.
First signs are very good, and I expect to be keeping this just for the pdf OCR. I haven’t tried the other functions.
I’ve given it 5 stars as to the extend I’ve tried it, I can’t fault it.

For me, PDFs need to be searchable. I downloaded Creativities.PDF because of this:
“An OCR module is also included. This allows you to convert non-searchable documents (for instance, PDF files that include scanned pages with text) into searchable ones or extract text from images.”
I opened a bog-standard (non-scanned) PDF – one where search doesn’t work – and chose the OCR function, with the aim of making the PDF a PDF/A file. The file claimed to have completed successfully, but when I opened it and searched for a word I could see was in the file, the search returned no results. I altered the word case to macth the word exactly, and searched again…no results.
As this fuction was/is important to me, I’m not bothering with any other claimed features of this software. Perhaps other may have more luck?
