Reviews for FastMove
Well… it’s a bit awkward when the “Description” section on the top of the page seems to directly contradict the software’s own website info…
The Description says:
“FastMove lets you easily move programs installed on your old PC to your new machine, keeping all license information and settings intact”
The FastMove website’s FAQ section says (kudos Jean Caudor for the link):
“Q: When I migrate software using FastMove, does it also migrate license information?
A: No. Software licensing works in such a way that a license can’t be migrated to another PC unless you have a multiple-PC license or your software supports license deactivation and reactivation. We recommend you to save your license keys and make sure you can reactivate your apps before you perform software migration.”
*slowclap*
It’s USELESS! All my license keys are lost after I moved my software to a new computer,. Because the keys are saved in Registry Key!

It says in the FAQ that it can’t move the license keys:
Q: When I migrate software using FastMove, does it also migrate license information?
A: No. Software licensing works in such a way that a license can’t be migrated to another PC unless you have a multiple-PC license or your software supports license deactivation and reactivation. We recommend you to save your license keys and make sure you can reactivate your apps before you perform software migration.
Are you clueless? We all know that giveaway software is not transferable to another computer. Duh! That’s common policy on all the giveaway sites. Actually, your comment is what is useless.
I couldn’t find the claim that this program transfers licenses to a new computer anywhere on its own website – in fact I found a FAQ that says the precise opposite:
“Q: When I migrate software using FastMove, does it also migrate license information?
A: No. Software licensing works in such a way that a license can’t be migrated to another PC unless you have a multiple-PC license or your software supports license deactivation and reactivation. We recommend you to save your license keys and make sure you can reactivate your apps before you perform software migration.”
So I don’t know why this fictitious claim has appeared in the program’s description here.
You mean it moved Registry entries instead of copying Registry entries?!?
software to avoid because it transfers data over the network, so your two computers must have an active connection.
Which induces storage on online servers that we do not know.
Zero confidentiality. To check it go to this link : “http://fastmove.com/faq.php#troubleshooting”

The main menu and the developer indicate that it can export to an attached drive and then import from that drive the information allowing the applications to move onto the target machine, with no network required.
I think it only sends it directly to the target computer. It requires a connection between the only. So try to connect the computers with a normal ethernet cable.
