La nuova Gulp! è strutturata in quattro sezioni:
LOGOPEDISTA, la parte dell’app dedicata al professionista. L'app non intende sostituire il trattamento diretto, infatti è solo dopo un’attenta valutazione da parte di un logopedista esperto che è possibile stilare un piano di trattamento specifico per il singolo paziente. “Gulp!” aiuta il clinico a personalizzare al massimo il programma terapeutico, dandogli la possibilità di scegliere, tra più di 200 esercizi, quelli più adatti al paziente, e selezionare il numero di ripetizioni per ogni esercizio.
Per facilitare la ricerca/selezione degli esercizi, li abbiamo suddivisi in cinque macro-categorie: respirazione, ginnastica muscolare, deglutizione, generalizzazione e articolazione. Le categorie possono essere ulteriormente suddivise in sottocategorie e gli esercizi raggruppati a seconda della loro finalità (esempio: ginnastica muscolare à labbra à tonificare entrambe le labbra).
IL MIO PROGRAMMA, la parte dell’app riservata al paziente. Il paziente avrà sempre a disposizione la lista degli esercizi selezionati dal proprio logopedista, con il numero di ripetizioni, la descrizione scritta e il video esplicativo.
Il paziente, inoltre, potrà utilizzare la sveglia, la quale permette di impostare il testo e l’orario del promemoria che, tramite una notifica, gli ricorderà di svolgere gli esercizi.
LINGUA, la parte dell’app studiata per l’autoconsapevolezza della postura linguale. Tramite questa funzionalità il paziente potrà, con un semplice click, indicare se la posizione linguale è corretta o errata. Il logopedista, in seduta, potrà visualizzare il giorno esatto in cui è stata compilata e le statistiche relative all’esecuzione dell’esercizio.

L’applicazione è stato oggetto di due tesi del corso di laurea in Logopedia (Università degli Studi di Milano). La prima tesi, intitolata “Gulp! La prima applicazione mobile specifica per il trattamento miofunzionale della deglutizione atipica: l’efficacia del trattamento miofunzionale con tale supporto tecnologico”, ha dimostrato che l’app ha incrementato l’efficacia della terapia miofunzionale. Questa tesi, inoltre, è stata premiata da AMPLIFON come una delle tre migliori dell’anno accademico 2013/2014 della facoltà di Logopedia in Italia. The patient will also be able to use the alarm clock, which allows you to set the text and the reminder time that, through a notification will remind you to perform the exercises.
LANGUAGE, the part of the app designed for the self-awareness of the lingual posture. With this feature, the patient can, with a simple click, indicate whether the lingual position is correct or incorrect. The speech therapist, in session, will display the exact day that was compiled and statistics on the implementation of the year.

This thesis also was rewarded by AMPLIFON as one of the three best of the academic year 2013/2014 the Faculty of Speech therapy in Italy. The second thesis, entitled "Survey on the satisfaction of patients and parents about Gulp !, the first mobile application for the specific myofunctional treatment of atypical swallowing", showed how the app is a pleasant and easy way to patients' eyes .
